What cartridge are you loading the most of right now?

.223 Remington with 60 grain projectiles.

This has been a "standard load" of mine since the early-1980s. Three different powders (IMR 4198, IMR 3031 and
Win 748) with the same point of impact at 100 yards. During the shortage of powder at the retail level during the late 20-teend, I reformulated the load using IMR 4064.

While I prefer IMR 3031, I have been able to get IMR 4064 to work with both 55 and 60 grain loads. Still IMR 4064 seems to be very "finnicky" in that it seems more sensitive to changes in components rather than just bullet weight and powder charge.

Probably .44 mag I have lots of large pistol primers and a local shop makes decent lead bullets for $ 100 per 1,000 so I have been using 9.5 grains of CFE with 215 grain and the 240 grain Keith bullet. I needed to shoot my 629 more anyway.

.243 AI is the current project. Then need to replenish my .260 Rem. .280 AI waiting in the wings.

Some 45 Colt a few weeks ago, otherwise nothing. With the sub zero temps for a few weeks, it was to nipply in the reloading room to do much, even with the heater running in the basement.

I stayed upstairs where it was warm and reloaded pint and quart canning jars instead.

Lately, .223 Remington. My son was here over Thanksgiving. I set up targets, handed him some magazines and told him to have fun - and what's more fun than shooting ammo Dad paid for?

As soon as I get caught up on my .223, I will switch to 9mm and then 5.7mm Johnson after that.
