id love to hear anyone 35 rem loads,,, mine is 42.5 LVR powder for a 200 rem bullet ... unfortunately i am running out of that bullet,, so going to have to find a new setup thanks for any input

I don't know what you are shooting it in so won't give you a powder charge. I shoot it mostly in a 600 Remington bolt gun these days where I can load 50K pressure sharp pointed bullets and get 2500 fps with 180 grain Speers or Hornady Spire points. Or 2300 fps from an 18" barrel with that 200 grain Remington Corelokt . I used to shoot a Remington Model 8 and Remington 14 (and a 141) with it at factory level loadings and a Marlin 336 which could be heated up a little. Reloader 7 is a great factory level powder for the .35 Rem. The 180 Speer soft points semi spitzers were safe in the Remington guns , I didn't trust them in the Marlin . I shoot them in my favorite Contender super 14" barrel at around 2100 FPS and they knock deer dead at 200 yards . It IS hard to beat the performance of the 200 grain Remington Coreloktd at 2100 out of a 20" Marlin on the biggest deer and hogs to 200 yards . Reloader 7 will get you to those levels trouble free. Max load for Reloader 7 with the 200 grain rem bullet is 34 in most books and indeed is what I used in those guns to hit factory levels. I nevr used the powder you are using but it is supposed to be optimum for the .35 Rem with the FTX bullet with the rubber point.

its a 336 JM marlin circa 1980,,,i ve had great luck with the 200 rem corelokt ,,, never measured velocity but somewhere around 2100

To add to @Gordon 's suggestions, either the Sierra 200 RN or Hornady's 200 RN, assuming you're shooting these in a lever action with tube fed magazine. Both are equally accurate hunting bullets in my .358 win and perform well at 2,300-ish FPS at reasonable hunting distances

I too have a remnant of 200gr Corlokts I’m reserving for a rainy day.
Before LVR, I used H4895 and BLC2 at elevated charges.
I too got poor expansion from the FTX. The 200gr RN Interlok is also harder than optimal in the .35Re. When in the last Obama ammogeddon I couldn’t get jacketed bullets I bought a RCBS 200gr FNGC mold and haven’t looked back.
It casts to 218gr. Sized to .360”, loaded over 39.0gr of BLC2, it shoots under 2moa and gets 2,050fps mv. Kills very well too.

The most accurate.35Rem bullets I’ve used are the Sierra 200gr RN. They also expand quite readily. I’ve seen “daylight” through deer I’ve shot with them due to temporary wound cavity. Until I got a good lot# of Remingtons, they were my go-to .35 bullet. Wow, have they gotten more expensive!

I've used win 748 and imr 4198 under 200gr Sierra rn or 200gr Hornady psp. As the weather gets nicer (in Wisconsin) I'm going to start loading accurate 2520 and 2015. I'm loading for a custom mauser so I tend to stick with pointed bullets. It can also handle higher pressures.

thanks for the info ,,, i am really hoping to get new load without burning too many irreplaceable bullets ,,, fortunately i have 5 boxes of the sierra 200 rn to work with,,, would hate to try and find them now ,,,

I use Hornady 200gr FTX bullets. They work very well with their LVR powder. Accurate and does just fine on 200-300 pound hogs.

i am guessing the FTX does a better job of expanding on heavier game like hogs than smaller deer ,, the one deer i shot with a FTX was through the lungs and ran long ways with a limited blood trail , fortunately it was on snow or i would have had a hard time recovering the deer

If I take up deer hunting down here I will keep that in mind if I go after whitetail with it. I haven't hunted deer in well over a decade and they aren't as big in the south.

Flat point, hollow point, then round nose are my order of preference for slow moving bullets.
Try the Speer hotcore for accuracy. I run it in a slow Whelen load and it does it's job with no fuss or mess.

I won't be messing with the recipe of my FTX load. I can easily shoot 1/2 MOA with it in my rifle. Only reason I would change it for deer is if I ran into the same expansion problems you experienced. Before developing loads, I hunted with Corelokt ammo with no problems. The soft point tip mushroomed just as it should every time. Although with Remington split up it may take awhile to find some of that again.

I haven't run the ftx.
I like good accuracy. So I agree with you.
Just aim for bones and they will fall down.

I have longed for a 35 rem 336 for a decade. I got to hunt with one a few years back when I visited a coworker and we happened into a herd of does while I was looking at an old pickup truck. There was a Winchester 30-30 and the marlin 336 both in the truck. He got a doe, I saw deer but it was too thick on my side. Prices are too wild on those guns now. I may buy a beater and swap barrels on it because barrels do pop up. I suppose folks are possibly swapping to 30-30 due to ammo availability.

I have also looked hard at contender barrels. I would buy a 35 if I didn’t already have 30-30 and 7-30. I have been flipping pages in the contender section of my newest used book comparing the three. I may end up with a 35 rifle length barrel.

I liked my marlin 336 in 35 rem enough I had the mauser built. Its a great rifle and caliber combination in both actions. I wanted the mauser so I could really see what the caliber was truly capable of. I've been very pleased so far.

i found an accurate combination over the weekend with the 220 speer and 42.5 grains of LVR powder,,, its a warm load ,, groups started to open with 43.0 grains ...hopefully this fall I will see if 220 speer does as well on game as the 200 rem
