Research on the cartridge .32 acp

Designed in 1895, first used in a firearm in the FN 1899 or 1900 (curious story).
Was in the WWI NAZI supply system, but .380 ACP (9mm kurz) was not as the .32 ACP (7.65mm Browning) could penetrate a helmet (of the era). The 9mm kurz could not.

71 grain FMJ work better in penetration than the 60 grain hollow points. None of the commercial loadings I've tried give an honest 900 fps (advertised) in any of the - several - pistols I have. They are low recoil and easy to shoot. They don't have a lot of surplus horsepower and depend highly on shot placement. Better than a sick smile in many cases.
