What's your latest bucket list handgun?

.....A 4” S&W Model 57.
If you find one of those, it'll only make you want a M58 to go with it. I'd have loved to find a 4" M57, but I took advantage of the opportunity when I found a 6" version. Then, I got obsessed with finding a M58, and again got very lucky.

When I was looking for a particular model, it seemed to be my bucket list gun at the time. My bucket got pretty full, but it always seems to hold one more.

I have several that come to mind One is an old Colt 38 special wadcutter 1911 another is a 3 inch Johvino sic 41 mag model 57 round butt

thats a good start for now:)

Only 2 I can think of right now:
A Ruger Super Blackhawk with 6” or 7.5” barrel, like new in the yellow box.
The new Colt Python with a 4” barrel but won’t pay more than MSRP for it.

I'm not losing sleep over any new firearm at the moment. I have a mild hankering for a 5.7 handgun. The Ruger and the FN are, in my jaundiced opinion, butt ugly. Something on a 1911 platform would be nice.

If the OP really wants a 1903... about five years ago, when prices were more normal, I haunted Gunbroker for a few months until I finally won a 1903 on a bid of $440-something. Its collector value was destroyed because it was refinished and had new grips (some moron had apparently scratched his initials onto the slide and the grips). It's mechanically sound and a good shooter.

I've managed to score some "bucket list" guns at reasonable prices by being patient and putting some time into it. My typical find is mechanically sound but has a fair amount of holster/finish wear and incorrect grips. I don't care if they look a bit worn. They are guns that I really enjoy shooting.

My current "really want to have one" is a short-barreled centerfire SA revolver... like 3.5" or so. I will start hunting for a used one after the prices come back to normal. I'm not sure if a 32 magnum, 38 special, or 45 colt would be the most fun. I'll probably just end up being opportunistic on the caliber...

I have a list of “new” revolvers in another thread. As for bucket list guns...

- 1905 S&W in .38 Special 6” barrel
- Colt New Service in .45 Colt.
- And something that I will have to buy when I come across it...A gun made in my birth year of 1961. Not real particular on make or model and it doesn’t necessarily have to be a handgun.

Luago Arms Alien

Dam Wesson DWX

Neither has any appeal to me until I can afford to stockpile another 5000 rounds of 40. Some optics and hopefully a suppressor come first. Got a few carbines without BUIS because of pistol chasing.

That I last bought or that I want next? Won an auction for an H&R Young America in .32 last week, up next is an H&R top break .32 with a 5 or 6 inch barrel.

Something in a 1911 platform. I'll jump on a nice one in .22 or 9mm. I have no need for another .45.

Ya know the funny thing is that I have 4 or 5 guns that I haven't shot in years, nothing wrong with them, just lost interest after awhile.
Problem is even though their shelves are empty GS's around here want 25% on consignment or will buy them outright for no where near what they are worth. If you want to sell one to a fellow forum member you have to be prepared for their 125 dollar transfer fee.
I would rather take them to the grave with me.:cuss:
I should add that I don't necessarily condemn the gun stores but rather the
politicians that made this happen.

I have reached the stage of life, at which I have all of the handguns I will ever need, and one of my hands has aged-out of being a good weapon hand, or a good support hand, anyway, so, my handgun bucket list has been dumped, as many handguns are not enjoyable to fire one one-handed, and I have no desire to own a handgun that I will never shoot. Nothing has been added to my new-reality want list, but single action revolvers are generally fun to shoot with only my healthier left hand, and, as none of my existing USFA Single Actions are engraved, I am starting to think that an engraved single action revolver would be nice to have, perhaps, someday. I actually really do like minimal, partial coverage, as I have seen on several revolvers, so full coverage is unnecessary. A real Colt would be nice, but is not necessary.

Actually, I saw one USFA revolver, that only had engraving on the cylinder, and it looked really good. I just might send the cylinder, from one of my existing revolvers, to an engraver.
