If you were going to go to a carbine match this coming weekend to do battle with the hordes of cardboard zombies and savage steel targets which of the follow "masks" would you put on your AR's Fab-Defense Mojo magazine well? You know, to intimidate the targets and your fellow competitors. :D

Oh and I am asking for a friend as I would never put such tacky crap on one of my AR's

If you're not going to take it seriously - why should I?:cuss:

I mean, really..... No Mandalorian. No StormTrooper?

Not even a Hannibal Lecter?:notworthy:

Why do I even bother?

Seriously. Need you ask? Molon frikken Labe!

Todd.

I will be the stick in the mud. Unless you are used to shooting with one. None of the above.
Making last second changes for a match is typically a bad idea.
It's really not much of a functional change the base magazine-well stays in place you simply snap on the mask of choice over it for a cosmetic change.

My friend, says he never touched the front of the mag-well when shooting a stage so it really is just cosmetic to him. ;)

Nice collection. I really like that black and grey crusader with the bronze cross on it.

If you're not handy with model painting then you could find plenty of guys paining miniatures or building war dioramas that can paint them up for you.

Yeah I have a good friend that is a big Warhammer 40K miniature painter I might have to buy him a six pack from one of the local micro-brews and ask him to paint my crusader in a similar fashion.

Ya know...I really wasn’t interested in building a new AR, but this thread has inspired me. I live in California (for the next 694 days, but who’s counting). Being able to put a new face in my AR might just baffle a bureaucrat.
It could be one of those “How are you feeling?” display things.

Not a clue what this thread is even referring to...........:(

We are talking about this product from Fab-Defense: https://www.fab-defense.com/en/category-foregrips/id-2094/improved-mag-well-grip.html

It is at it core it is an extended magazine-well for a standard AR-15 lower. It extends and widens the opening of the magazine well to help guide a magazine into the mag well. It is most advantageous for shooters trying to rapidly reload their AR as is typical encountered in timed shooting competitions. An additional feature of this particular extended magazine-well is that is has a cosmetic overlay that can be easily changed out to change the external appearance of the magazine well. My 'friend" has four options for this cosmetic overlay as pictured in the first post to the thread and I was wondering which the forum would use in my "friend's" place.

And I have to say the result so far are somewhat perplexing with the plain-jane winning. I am not sure you guys appreciate just how savage and merciless those USPSA metric targets can be and any small additional intimidation factor might be the difference between victory and some savage paper cuts.

This is what you need.

;) I’m dating myself here. When I hear Carbine My mind just goes to M1 Carbine Caliber 30. Of which I’ve owned several. :)

Make sure it's not against the law there to make a scary rifle even scarier.
