Been trying to get a hold of someone at Cimarron Firearms near Austin, TX for the last 2 weeks. Spoke with a gent two Fridays ago shortly after the big storm hit Texas and since then no one answers the phone or email.
No answer machine or greeting.

Anyone experiencing the same? They've always been responsive in the past

Some folks in Texas are still waiting for a plumber to get to them. There is a huge back-log of work to be done.

The freeze did not “bust” anything important, at our house, and I capped it off, right away, but, trying to turn the shut-off valve, before the freeze, cracked an aging iron pipe. The good thing is, I am able to repair our pipes. The bad thing is, waiting for fittings to arrive. A couple of things we needed, for the final completion, just arrived late yesterday, from Amazon.

I've been trying to reach somebody by phone and email for 3+ weeks. Been wondering if they're still in business. Really poor customer service as documented elsewhere. :fire:

Good customer service starts with courteous and prompt communication. Ignoring any customer fosters well-deserved animosity and a poor customer relationship record. It's not that difficult.

Don't you folks understand that Texas will need a long recovery period after the major disaster that hit them.

Cimarron is a great company with great customer service. People in Texas are trying to put their lives back together. I m not associated with them at all but know a few folks there VERY BIG mess there in Texas. On top of all that insurance companies are backing away from people in the time of need with lines like well sorry your policy didn't cover flooding are you kidding me the house would not have flooded if I did not have a pipe bust under my sink and that is covered. Ok well we will pay for the pipe repair but nothing else. This is what should be getting highlighted in the media. This did not happen to me but a family member down there.

Be patient Cimarron is still around and trying to recover.

Not gun related but a very good point. I have flood insurance on my house and my cars even though I don’t live in a flood prone area. Guess why...

Regarding Cimarron, lots of my Cowboy Action Shooting friends love their products and their company. They say that Cimarron has excellent customer service. I am sure they have some problems right now that once solved, they will be back to their normal good service.

I can only tell you, if you get a chance to stop by the shop in Fredericksburg, do it! My first trip I walked out with a fantastic floral carved rig, with a pair of .44Specials on the way to my local dealer. My second trip, I found a floral carved 7½" Mexican loop to go with the first.

I work aprox 70 miles from Cimarron, in a slightly warmer area, and I lost a week of work and we’re not near caught up. The phone doesn’t always get answered in these crazy times. Some things are back to normal but lots of things are still upside down.

Lucky dog. Our inside temp went as low as 39F in the parts of our house away from the fireplace. The fireplace room reached 50F. It was like a sauna, lol. :D

And yep, we lost an entire week of work here, too.

BTW, to the northern folks of the forum, we just ain't used to that kind of cold near the Gulf Coast. It's downright unnatural. While driving south of Austin earlier this week, I saw all kinds of cactus wiped out from the freeze. o_O

I'm about 80 miles north of you and we were pretty lucky. Got to zero here but never lost power. We are about a mile and a half from the main sewer plant and on the same electrical grid. So no rolling blackouts.

The Fredericksburg, where Cimarron is located, and Kerrville area were hit pretty hard. I'm guessing that Cimarron will come back on line once they get everything right.
