Guns you own but don't like.

My PSA AR9 7” was kinda fun at first. But with a suppressor the gas in the face was intolerable. Not so bad now with a long blast deflector. Never shoot it since I got a CZ Scorpion pistol which after a few mods is a joy to shoot.

I loved my M77 Hornet. I didn't like that the bullets had to be seated so long that it became a fancy single shot.
It just didn’t really fit me and the bolt seemed overly hard/complex for such a small round. In a more powerful cartridge I can see it being nice.

Oh, just remembered another. I greatly dislike shooting my LCR .38 SPC, truly unpleasant gun at the range.

But it's good enough in a heavy winter coat pocket, so I keep it for the rare times I might find it useful and shoot it every so often to keep up with the trigger.
Polymer is no good for revolvers. If they offered an aluminum option, the LCR would be an all time great

As is, LCR was the first thing I picked for the cull when I needed to cash in a gun a few weeks ago

I think you're probably right. I've been told the newer grip (from the LCRx?) makes a big difference too, I've been meaning to pick one up ... some day. Maybe when components reach the point I'd be willing to "waste" powder and primers on .38 spc instead of 9mm.

Chicom 9mm.

Todd.
Is grip zone an anagram for No Erg, Zip?

I wish they would print the safety manual on the grip instead.

“Caution: do not read manual while firearm is loaded” etc

The air bubble in the grip is hype as far as I could tell. 642s shoot softer, and they’re bare metal in that spot.

The only gun I had that I didn’t like, and sold for that reason was a Ruger M77 in 22 hornet.
I had one of those. Seems they’re either real accurate or really not accurate. Mine was the latter

My only gun I have that I don’t particularly like is a SCCY 9mm. It has a narrow grip, and it HURTS to shoot, which sounds stupid out if a 9mm, but it does. It’s stashed in a cabinet as a house gun. I shoot it maybe once a year. Only time I’d use it is if I REALLY needed something and it’s handy

Perhaps sacrilege...
I got hair up my butt and bought a brand new JRA/BULA M-14 some time ago, and while very nice and nicer since adding some goodies, if I had to do it again I think I would be happier with a Aero Precision M5E1 18" instead.
I keep tossing the idea around to sell, but cannot seem to commit yet. Partly because I have maybe 40 rounds through it and not given it a fair shake, and also it's suddenly worth considerably more than I paid for it.

I get that. I very much enjoy my M1A and as I said hunt with it and it's a great range gun, but I like my 18" Grendel hunter 6.5 Grendel AR better. Lighter, nicer trigger (and mine is just a PSA enhanced one, not even a nice trigger) and easier to mess with. Only problem with it is all this ammo and component shortage hit before I could tailor a favorite load and build a reserve, so I'm limited while I still have plenty of .308 to feed the M1A.

I may have to think on it some more. It's kinda weird in a way, I started out shooting at dinosaurs when I was teenager, but now when I hold a traditional stock it feels sort of unnatural.
I was at the only "large" gun store in this state the other day and looked for 6.5 projectiles for someone else and there were none, but powder is making a comeback and I managed to snag some. Primers are also generally available with a daily limit, so I'm taking all that as a good sign.

Beretta 686 Essential. The "express" version of their great o/u. Selective trigger and ejectors, mobil chokes. I just can't hit skeet birds with it. Average 24 with my 1100, M12, and 870. Work hard for 20s with this.

Really!!! The OP's title could be in Websters Dictionary as the definition to OXYMORON...

Darn Covid, you guys need to get out and shoot those guns you supposedly don't like...

Ruger 10-22. In my opinion it is the most over rated firearm in existence. I have about a dozen old .22lr rifles and at least as many .22 pistols and my 10-22 is the least accurate and the least attractive of the bunch. The wood is cheap, the barrel band is plastic, the trigger is godawful, and it only likes a few brands of ammo. Yes, I know it can be customized with an endless supply of aftermarket stuff but in its out of the box condition it is a joke.
A cheap Marlin model 60 will outshoot the 10-22 by a long ways. Ill never understand how the 10-22 got so popular.
I'm guessing its because it may have been the first gun for a lot of folks so it probably has sentimental value.

Not a fan of Safe Queens. I got a Mini-14 that has got to go. Been dicking around with crappily staked sights, overpressure this, underpressured that, every time I overcome an issue, something else arises, I thought it would be a perfect little Garand action, box fed, in 5.56, but nothing could be further from the truth. I'm done, with this thing.
I tried to like my mini-14. Great concept, horrible execution. I don't believe it ever had a failure. It fed, fired, and ejected every round. But it just wouldn't group. I don't think I've ever owned a less accurate rifle. My bench rest targets looked like I was patterning a shotgun.

I owned a Glock 36, I liked it and hated it. the grip simply wasn't finished with that gun, otherwise I'da kept it.
