Who currently makes them? I had a barrel shortened to 21 inches and threaded for a set of chokes 25 or so years ago but I can't remember who it was.

Briley's are too expensive for my tastes. I gave the shotgun to my brother 18 years ago and he now lives in Indiana. I suppose I could call call/email him but he has his hands full right now. I'm asking for someone else. I suppose he can ask a good gunsmith in his area.

What are you asking exactly? What thread pattern the chokes are? What options for choke tubes are all out there?

Are you asking so your brother can get more chokes for the gun? Does someone else want to thread their shotgun for chokes?

Yes someone wants their barrel fitted for chokes. I think I had my Wingmaster barrel tapped for Tru-Chokes. Carlsons makes the thin wall version.

Does Mike thread for and use Carlson's or Trulock? I have a few of George Trulock chokes - great product and great folks to deal with

I have had Mike Orlen install Colonial tubes in4 different Remington barrels. All work great. He and Briley are the only two I will personally vouch for. Others may be as good, but I have no personal experience. As I said, mike is MUCH less expensive, but he does not have the tooling capability Briley has. I had them do two SXSs. Not cheap, but perfectly done.

I have Colonial Thin Wall Sporting Clays https://www.gunbroker.com/item/893971853 in a couple of guns, installed by Mike Orlen. He knows his stuff, has a high reputation in the industry, and says that Colonial and Truelock are the highest quality. I have some regular stainless ones and some of the TiNi coated ones. My experience with the install and the chokes has been great.

IMO, the quality and precision of the installation will be MUCH more important than who (among the proven brands) manufactured the choke tube.
