What ammo are you finding and for how much?

There is a little 9MM, 40 S&W and 223 trickling in at a few stores. Its 3 or 4 dollars more than a year ago and they have limits on it.

BassPro had a few new die sets on the shelves last week. A couple of weeks before all they had was the rarer calibers like 6mm-300 Weatherby. There was a small selection of bullets on the shelves that wasn't there a few weeks ago.

CAL Ranch in our small town is again out of everything but 22lr, one box of 50 per customer per day. Auigla, and the 40gr standard is $3.85 a box of 50. I bought one for my boy. Down the street the local pawn shop has LOTS of ammo, and the prices show why - Winchester White box 55gr 5.56mm 20 round bod, $24.99. The EXACT SAME 22lr box, $9.99 for 50. The CHEAPEST they had was M193 Winchester in a 200 round box for 200 bucks.
Primers? I wish. Everything for reloading in our little burg is long gone, including shotgun primers, AND all black powder consumables, even all bullets and White Hot pellets. Amazing stuff. I need to trundle up to The Valley ealry some day to see if I can catch a break.

Hey 35cpr is not too bad lol. You should come out to claude hall's gun show this weekend(if you are still living in OK ), my dad and I will be their with our business we started in January and we just got our FFL. Prices are crazy high though.... I've seen basic monarch 7.62 and 223 go for $1pr or more!!! And what is even more stupid is the fact that the guys selling that stuff didn't even take off the yellow anti theft tracking device sticker that Academy puts of the boxes!!! So you know they paid 35cpr for that stuff...

People actually are Paying 1.00 per round for FMJ?
Oh ....man.

Keep them paranoid; this might help the Tens of Thousands of Unsold guns find a loving home.

LGS, here today. They had two! Boxes of Fiocci 9 mm FMJ for 44.99 each!
Some 12, some 300 win mag, some oddball stuff...both the shelves for ammo and guns we're more empty than full.

Virtually nothing to be had locally. I think I recall some 270 WSM and 6.5x55 and there was definitely 12g bird shot.

Part of me wants to cash in on the 7N6 spam cans I have at probably 8-10 times what I paid. The rest of me says "nyet."

Either more ammo is being imported or produced in the US...

...maybe Flippers are  saturated with the ammo they bought...

...or the seasoned gun owners are able to Stop buying in the last month or so.
The partial-boycott is helping.

When the current "The Sky Is Falling" subsides and normal/new normal takes hold of the market place, consider over an extended period time acquire a stock of commercial ammunition and or reloading components.

Went to a small gunshow this past Sunday specifically to find 32 ACP ammo and /or bullets and cases. Found all three. 2 boxes of older Remington loads, FMJ, $25 per box. Someone else was selling 32 Remington bullets, 71 grain FMJ, NOS in the 100 ct boxes, bought 5 bxs at 20 per. Bag of 100 once fired cases for 14 bucks. Plus a nice little pocket knife and a B & T fixed blade by Western. Worth the trip and I can't always say that.

Ohhh... I had no idea what UPT was lol. Yeah I find the pricing crazy... Its not like they are selling good brass cased reloadable Federal or Winchester for a dollar a round... That would be ok (just barely) by me for the current market IMHO. Oh btw I'm going to a LGS this evening to see if they still have a Carl Gustaf Swedish Mauser for $500 is that a good price??

I went to a regional gunshow in Frederickburg, VA, last Saturday, which used to be one of the better ones (it ain't anymore). There was a fair amount of ammo available, but at "last months" prices. The best price I found on .223/5.56 was 0.90 a bullet. Mostly in was about a dollar per. 9mm was harder to find and about about 0.90+ cents. Some "enterprising persons" were charging up to $1.25 per round. Not too surprisingly, I did not see it move much. It was like all dealers agreed on the minimum price. Perhaps they eased up on Sunday afternoon. My closest big chain store that still sells ammo is a BassPro like 45 minutes away, too long of a trek for a big line/wait and likely no joy.

Sportsman's Warehouse in Pocatello had a sizable stack of 6.8 Western ammo yesterday. Didn't look at the price.

I have not bought any ammo sine COVID but sold plenty on armslist local FTF. My experience is 223 brass case can sell pretty quick at 70c/rnd and 308 brass case 80-85c/rnd, 22LR 12c/rnd,7.62x39 steel case 40c/rnd. 223 steel case 50c/rnd. 9mm also 50c/rnd. I typically set my price 20% lower than the lowest internet bulk price and sell pretty fast. I always tell buyers that the price is crazy now, likely will come down later maybe by year end, so don't have to buy unless really need now. I sell what I don't need immediately, make some profit and help folks who need. In general, the market price is at least 2X compare to pre COVID. Retail stores' crazy price does not make sense at all, check local FTF.

270OKIE:

$500 for a nice Swedish Mauser ...seems like a good price.

That price nowadays might be good for almost any type of gun - if Non-Sporterized-, in good shape with matching bolt.
It was $550 and is a 29" barrel with flash hider. It isn't numbers matching unfortunately but I can't complain because it is in great condition! The bore is bright and has very distinct rifling. The brass disk is not marked on the barrel wear numbers so that would make sense withbth visual appearance of the rifle. The stock is original shape and everything. I ordered a case of PPU 139gr Soft point ammo yesterday too for a dollar a round which seems like a good deal for the current market.

Few and scattered choices at my lgs yesterday.

5.56 @$17/20
.357 MAG SD BLACK TALON $1/RD(reloads)

$1 per round for reloads?? That's a hard pass from me lol. I don't trust bubba and his hawt +p++++ loads...

My local Academy sports had valkyrie 224 for 20 a box, I bought two boxes of 7.62x39 for 9 bucks a box. They had legend 350 for 20 a box but walmart had them for 17. They had a fair amount of 5.45x39

I'm in good shape, ammo wise, although sometime I'll pick up yet more rimfire at Wal-Mart at pre shortage prices. What i could use is .30 carbine for my new M1, but I won't pay the inflated price.

Doesn't seem to be a shortage of ammo or reloading supplies in Northern Utah, but you're going to pay a butt load of money for nearly everything. Fair prices are to be had, but they are rare.
