Spend almost all day tumbling the brass! Sure like it to get that out of the way. Nice and shiny...glistening...it’s sexy to get these brass clean and you know it. Can’t wait to reload these when I get the chance. Gotta make sure they stay clean and nice in the good ol ammo can for the mean time. :D

Dirty old 1x fired milsurp brass I let go over night, by morning the water is black and the brass is shinny.

I just got a wet tumbler last week, and tried it for the first time last night. You're not wrong, seeing how shiny the brass came out, I could hardly wait to load them up! I was never the sort to care about my brass looking like it just left the factory, but I could never go back to dry tumbling after seeing that.

I’ve been tumbling some really dirty brass. I change the water after 2 hours including shaking the dirtiest stuff out through the screen.

After another 2 hours, I get rid of all of the water, add the hottest water I can and add some Franklin Arsenal brass cleaner. You could sell this brass as new.

But wet tumbling is the way to go!!!

I always spend the cold winter months cleaning and processing my brass. Then all I have to do is pop in a primer, charge it, and seat a bullet when needed. Seems to be a good use of those cold winter days to me.

I had some that just wouldn’t clean up by dry vibrator. Thread responses a couple years ago put me on Citric acid like you use in canning.
Plastic tub, hot water and a couple minutes and all was clean as new! Only cleaned stained one not whole batch.
I posted a thread on this a couple of years ago. I think it was about verdigris and black powder.
Good luck.

Do you tumble with Dawn, hot water and pins? Mine only take 30-40 minutes.

I've stopped using the pins.
My brass still comes out clean and shiny. Only downside is primer pockets and insides don't come out as clean, but I will deal with that rather than dealing with those hateful.pins.

haven't used pins in a year and I still find them laying around.

I made this for pins. I just walk around and tap the concrete. It's actually fun; like a treasure hunt that I don't have to bend down for.
