Couples and reloading...

Welcome to THR! Keep both presses.....one for pistol and one for rifle.....no such thing as too many progressives. Romance is good no matter where you find it! Even better when the knot's tied and you have kids to help with the reloading!;)

Nice share! Certainly not the run-of-the-mill HiRoad post and thread.

Don’t sell anything, IMO, right now. We still don’t know what next year will bring in these difficult times. :)

Welcome, and enjoy the forum!

Geezz, you two get a room
Yeah, a reloading room! I'd say keep them both and set them up differently. I haven't had my wife really involved yet but she does want to learn. The kids sure want to help though.

Mount both presses on the same bench though, you never know how romantic it might end up being reloading together!

Welcome to THR missystockholm!:)
My wife and I will have been married for 50 years this June, but we've only been handloaders for a little over 40 years. Having two presses comes in handy sometimes because my wife can do something (like resizing cases) on one press while I'm doing something else on the other press.
Nevertheless, we know how to "pull each other's handles.";)

Which Dillion press did you get?
We picked up an XL750. It....was kind of my doing. We came across a fantastic deal on a powder change over and 3 caliber conversions ($150 for everything! New!). His thought was - 'oh we could get these and sell them at the next gun show', and mine was 'we pretty much NEED a Dillon now...how can I be convincing that we should keep these??'.
So I came up with the plan that my Hornady could potentially be sold to go towards this new Dillon...
Now that the time has come I am keeping my fingers crossed...
It's not really about brand for me - but the Hornady was "mine", and so it has a special spot for me. He joined me in the hobby later on, but it WAS part of the rantionale for getting the Dillon.

Something tells me there will be two presses in our future, and most likely these two. I have been talking about how we should at least have another single stage or turret press on hand for resizing and whatnot.
I really like the Lee APP for depriming. Popping out the primers before the first cleaning has helped keep the resize cleaner too. Also never hurts to have a dedicated priming setup. Personally, I like the Frankford Arsenal hand primer. Sharing a hobby with your spouse is a great blessing.

I used the App for everything, crimped 1,000 in about 3 hours
