Couples and reloading...

It's a sellers market right now. You could probably make a decent profit from it atm, if that matters to you.

I have actually been reselling some reloading components to help pay off medical bills right now - via auction, so folks can set their own price and I don't feel like I've taken anyone to the cleaners. Luckily ND still seems to be getting some supplies, if you know where and when to look. Our local fleet store has a whole mess of Hornady shellplates on clearance for under $20. I also have 2 new sealed LNLs on hand for resale.....Basically getting what I paid for them, but I figure it helps people in other places get their hands on a press since our stores have them here and they aren't selling.

Oh man, just doesn’t get any better than this! Welcome Missy.

I’m in favor in keep the hornady press, your new hobby will grow. I too started with a single press and just reload 9mm a few years back. Over time now I’m reloading 270 winchester, 30 06 and starting to get into 38 special/ 357 mag. Welcome to the club.

Since the presses will keep their value well it won’t matter if they are used prior or not. I’d keep both at least for now.

Now, you said “boyfriend”. I’d like to talk to him, gently, I won’t bruise him. Just want to remind him he’s found a lady that shoots and handloads, and even knows how to sell goods for a profit!
Someone aught to clue him in and change your name!;)

So when you get them set up side by side we will all want a review! The epic Red VS Blue (His and Hers?) comparison!:D

Figure it out quick because you can get a stupid amount of money for the hornady press right now.

Prices have dropped from "stupid" down to "not the brightest". There was one on eBay for $699 B.I.N...cheapest I've seen in months.

I admire @missystockholm for the passion she has for the hobby/addiction/sport, and wish her and her guy all the reloading and shooting happiness in the world.

I'm glad my S.O. has come around on shooting and gun ownership, but I sure hope her interest in reloading never goes beyond "you got a package today. More reloading stuff?". Sometimes I just need my space, without having to leave the house.

Besides, it's hard enough keeping up with the additional ammo consumption from her shooting... and I don't have enough components to share.

Welcome to THR!
I’ve heard the family that loads together, stays together. Hopefully it’s true! I too have an ecumenical press bench and am not looking to sell even though I could probably double my investment.
Consider having one press set up for small primer, the other for large primer.
Can’t wait to see the text msg after you shoot the first 750 Xl reloads.... Good luck!

Back when my wife was my girlfriend I told her I needed a case feeder for my progressive. She said she would be my "case feeder" instead. She spent a few minutes on that, then decided to promote herself to lever-puller and make me the case feeder. Then she decapped my finger.

So we don't load together any more.

Welcome aboard missy. You appear to have a gift for sales. All the gun related advice (and more...) has been posted.
