What’s the strangest thing on your reloading bench?

Headspace and timing gage for an M2.

I wear one around my neck everyday!!

when I first read the title of this post I said heck, I can top all... until I read the one about the vibrator. Funny thing... I have the motor and battery holder out of the same type of device for almost the same reason. Too funny. And.. it does work!!

Made this little "tool" when I first started loading in 1981(?) to poke in the flash
hole and knock any media out.
Remnant of a brazing rod, and piece of
broom (or mop?) handle.
I couldn't even guess at how many cases
I've poked this doo dad into

Reloading is an interesting hobby all on its own. Like all hobbies, there are certain things that each person figures out for himself, often by repurposing something with a totally different task. That’s what I just did, and it will be installed this evening. I needed an arbor press to seat bullets for the 223AI using the Wilson inline seater. I don’t have a small arbor press handy, only a big one that is far beyond what is needed. Even a harbor freight press is a bit overkill for what I need. I could buy a 7/8-14 bolt and just use the ram on my classic cast, but this seems a better path. It just needs to seat bullets... doesn’t take much.

So what’s the most random or odd thing you have on your bench?
Right now? While I'm at work? I left the reloading stool with my RCBS mounted on it in the TV room so, probably a cat. Either the big lazy gray Tom or the skinny hyper Maine Coon.

A maritime style clock

Better question: What isn't odd on that bench?

It could be used for a shank I guess as
could most anything, but I almost always
have an Officers 45 at hand that would
work better than a sticker for the rough
work
that’s what I’m saving up for! 4” 1911 .45 ACP because they don’t make a .46

I don’t have anything too strange.
Just a 50 caliber bullet that was caught in an oak chunk.
The other logs were split in half, but this little one went hurling across the field with its prize contained inside.:)

There’s some recovered bullets and some inert rounds for a 45 and a 30-06. Two 308s and a 7 Mag from a friend. A bisected 223, just normal stuff.

My closet is too small to keep anything cool in it. But the white walls and minimal decor keep me from being distracted while brassing.

Maybe I’m wrong- I’ll admit I was wrong once long ago!
But that ain’t no possum skull! At least not from Eastern NC! Ours don’t have front gnawing fangs like those!:what::rofl: I enjoyed your post!
Eastern NC has vinegar BBQ sauce and red slaw

and calabash seafood

I think you are right. Looks like a groundhog skull.

I think you're right. Definitely a member of the rodent family, probably a marmot, but certainly not a lagomorph or marsupial.

Where did you get yours? I carried mine home from a Midshipmen’s cruise in the early 80’s. Dad was a Naval Gunnery Officer, so I figured it was a nice token...

For some reason my father in law had it, don't know why he was a priest and never in the service after he passed my wife brought it home.
