My wife has a S&W Model 642 Airweight in 38 Special and she wants a holster. Would someone please tell me which Uncle Mike's Sidekick to buy for this pistol? I need the size number for this Uncle Mike's Sidekick holster. It may be a right hand size 36 but it says it's for a revolver with a hammer spur. Thanks.

I got my S&W Model 15-3 back from the gunsmith today after having a 2" barrel installed. I need to get a nice set of grips for it.

Interesting. An adjustable sighted snubbie. I would bet the front blade doesn’t get washed out by the rear sight being too narrow of an opening. ;)
That’s what happens to me with my 36 and 442. Gotta put some paint on ‘em.

The model 15 2" really should have been made as a round butt. Here is what it would look like as a round butt. This picture was shared with me by a fellow on Facebook.View attachment 985568

I don’t know...before you modify yours you should really shoot it with the square butt first if you have larger hands. I am finding that I prefer more meat on the grips toward the bottom rear.

Just a thought.

I won't round butt mine. The serial number is too far forward and would be in danger of being hurt. I think a nice set of laminated grip panels would help though!

I see many 357 & and other chambered revolvers in the thread. I recently purchased a Taurus model 605. It will shoot more 38s than 357 mags. The weight of the revolver makes the 357 manageable. I would think that the Airweight handguns chambered in 357 would be a hand full:confused: 20210317_135830.jpg

Taurus 85 UL I’ve had for some years. It’s a beater in the carry rotation. It surprised me a year or so ago when a groundhog appeared at the timberline behind my house some 40-50 yards away. The 85 was what I had on me at the time. I didn’t hit the whistle pig but I kicked up dirt just inches (5-10) from him. Accurate for a 2” snub? I’d say so. DSC02545-zpslyjsimcz.jpg

The front sight is made for the J-Frame fixed sight guns. The original sight has to be filed or milled down to a rectangular post in which you epoxy the XS sight over. You rest the dot side to side and at the bottom of the rear sight. This is for myself the fastest on target sight I have ever used. No it’s not a target sight but a great sight for self defense distances if you even get to use sights. I have J-Frames that have a U notch instead of a rectangular notch for the rear sight and come with pinned version of the XS Big Dot without the tritium tube but I replaced them for the model with the tube.
