Looking Forward to Another Stimulus Gun Buying Spree.

No kidding. 64 gun safe holds about 40 if half are scoped rifles. Maybe 64 skinny, short flintlocks.

With all the complaining about ammo and component shortage, all those starving guns out there should be skinnier now. Probably get 43 or so in there easy.

There sure was money changing hands at the gun show I went to this afternoon but I took all of mine home with me. A guy did mention that the inflated prices sucked, but he wasn't really spending his money anyway.

Early afternoon today Gun counter at local Sportsmans was chock full. Couple of spots along counter they were 3 deep. Checks must be hitting the accounts. Store was picked over. Only oddball hunting caliber ammo on shelf’s. Zero powder/primers. Some 240 gr PC lead in .44 Mag. Slim pickings.

I tried to buy all American made products with my government handout checks. A Leopold scope, DNZ one piece base and rings, ammo locally at fairly good prices, 1000 CCI #34 primers from Midway and other stuff we needed around the house.

There’s a chance this free money silliness will cause problems way before our grandkids have to fix it. If inflation gets anything close to hyper, all of us will be hurting soon.

Many people are worried about the above scenario so they are buying durable goods ASAP. Of course buying sprees by millions of people will cause more shortages and higher prices. (vicious cycle).

At least all of the latest 1.9 trillion is going to people who really need it! (sarcasm)

This was the 4TH stimulus bill, BTW..2 of the previous ones had payments as well and those totaled about $3.5 trillion..just for info. With fewer conditions on them as to who got the bux..

I wish the requirements for receiving the check was a lot lower income. I know there are folks out there that need it and I am grateful they get it, but the gov’t is destroying my kids and grandkids future handing out all this “free” money. It’s just my humble opinion and let the bashing begin, but if you’re trying to decide what kind of gun to buy with your stimulus check you didn’t need one. If you missed work because of the virus and need it to pay bills I think it’s great.

I've got enough guns. Wife and I are in a financial situation similar to papag. The stimulus $ will, just like the previous ones, go to our grand nephew and niece's college fund. They will graduate with no financialy crippling student loans to pay off.

Just look at this years house price sales and next years value predictions. Some are 10-12% across board. Prices on everything skyrocketing and no end in sight. Fuel up .50 -.75/gallon in 2 months and folks are beginning to hoard everything. Already seeing Soviet era "empty shelves" and not just ammo.

Predictions say about 2.2% thruout 2021 and around that till mid 20s..You can look locally and think US inflation is 10-12% 'across the board' and think it's because of the latest stimulus(the 4th of the 4)..BUT below says that's not true.

Soviet era..that's cute and not accurate here at all..NO shortages of anything in my local grocery and gas prices here about $2.80 per galln

BTW-gas prices went up because of the __tshow in Texas, many refineries there.

Fed chief Powell says today that "cryptos not useful store of value." So Bitcoin is down 1.5% but Silver is down 2%. Lots of manipulation going on.

And real physical silver has a terrible mark up so it will cost you way over spot. Not the same increase as ammo but more than guns. If silver ever pays off to be a great investment, guns will probably do the same. Plus guns are fun to shoot, silver sits in a safe and glares like hell when you pull it out and the light hits it wrong!:D

According to the charts at Monex (.com), on Aug. 6, 2020, gold and silver topped out at $2,108.30 and $31.75 per ounce.
That is the highest gold has been in the last 10 years. However, silver was at $48.84 in late April of 2011.

Maybe I have ulterior motives.

Like hunting vampires. I've done stupider.

Coincidence? At Deep South gun show this weekend I saw people lined up holding 4473s at every table with .380 or 9mm pistols. Never seen that before. Loonnnggg wait but they waited. Asked one harried seller what they were all buying.

“Everything”.

At least half were women. 9mm and 380 ammo the same, price not withstanding.

I just hope they all train at least a little. Gun ownership (especially carrying) is not a "set it and forget it" deal.

Of course, I am thinking of picking an new revolver. Don't know which one it will be, Maybe he 2020 Colt Python.
