Looking for a 1-4x for my AR15. Don't have a bunch of money to spend and it's kind of a knock around rifle anyway. Anyone have experience with these scopes? Yes, I used the search function and didn't turn up much. I have read the Swampfox has better glass, but for a little less the truglo comes with a mount. I also read the Swampfox has a small eye box, but I imagine they all do at this price.

I know nothing about either of these brands, just learned about Swampfox today from reading on here. Thoughts?

You get a lot of bang for the buck if you spend $100 more for a Swampfox Arrowhead 1-6x24. Significant improvement over the Tomahawk or TruGlo Omnia.

FWIW, Swampfox is made/owned by a reputable Chinese OEM that also makes the FFP Diamondback Tactical scopes for Vortex.

Thanks for the suggestions. While looking at the arrowhead and PA, I came across a Burris rt6 for a little less. It looks promising. Seems like this is one of those purchases where it will always be "for a little more".

I went with a Vortex Strike Eagle 1-6x, but that was partly because that's what Cabela's carried and I had a bunch of giftcards.

It's a very nice package though. The 1-8x that I originally wanted fish bowled pretty badly across the magnification range, but the 1-6x did not.

What makes the arrowhead better? I know it has locking turrets. What else is different?
