Picked up this Tikka T3 CTR recently. I was originally looking for a Gunsite Scout but found this for around the same price. Topped it with a Leupold Mark AR 1.5-4X20mm scope that I had on hand...might not have been my first choice, but its light weight, generous eye relief and illuminated reticle makes it a pretty good fit for the rifle.

I kinda dig it, what chambering?

Truth be told you probably didn't have much say in the matter. I know I don't when my kids want to go shooting! I'm just along as the Official Gun Bearer and Magazine Loader!
Dont forget Jam Clearer and Target Preparer, lol.

I did get to squeeze off a few from my DMR and my buddy's old attic-find Savage "click-clack" Model 6. On the plus side, I barely used up any ammo myself. :D

Ah the old silver lining scenario! Still it's always a Win/Win situation if the kids are having a great time and are doing a decent job on the targets; even if we don't get any trigger time of our own!

Could be shrapnel damage but we will never know. If only it could talk. The stock is not original since it shows no damage in the area of the receiver tang.

Wow, cant believe I missed that one the first time around, very cool!

Sure looks like shrapnel damage to me. Could be from two seperate battles, one before the stock replacement and again after.......:what:

A pair of JP Enterprise uppers, top 6.5 Creedmoor built 2 years ago, on a Sharps Brothers 308 receiver.

On the bottom is a .223 built about 18 years ago, originally on a Bushmaster receiver but replaced with the Sharps Brothers 223 receiver to match its younger brother.

First, I've enjoyed seeing all those firearms; TYVM boys and girls.

I've been a gun guy for maybe 60 years but never a collector of anything that goes BANG! My most-interesting (IMO) current firearm is a UBR/MSR that looks a bit like an AR-15...

...but has a manual-turnbolt action.

It's a Uintah UP-15 in 6mm Advanced Rifle Cartridge (or 6ARC). This case is based on the 6.5 Grendel (or 6PPC or .220 Rusian, depending on who's complaining), and both of those can be resized and fireformed into 6ARC cases.. I now use exclusively Lapua .220 Russians.

Scope is a Zeiss Conquest V6 5-30X56X30.. The rifle is new this year and, with a benchrest rifle occupying too much of my time, this one isn't yet broken-in.. Has taken a while to determine and find the correct-height scope rings (being extra-high = 1-3/8s inch), but with the adjustable cheekpiece removed--I guess my face is taller than most--it fits very well.

This is a 96 I built a few years back, wife claimed it immediately. So it is the wife’s Swede 6.5x55, stock is quilted maple with rosewood tip and cap, I turned the wood in the style of a Richards dual grip, finish is a sanded in, Pro Custom Oil finish. The action and bottom metal are fully glass beded with the barrel free floated. The cocking knob is cut off even with the rear of the bolt shroud, bolt turned, bolt knob turned and drilled, trigger guard thinned from outside center and reduced to 3/8 inch wide, Timney trigger, Mauser thumb safety on bolt, barrel cut, recessed target crown and tapered, action hump removed, hot blued, action drilled and tapped for scope mount, USA made Redfield 4x12 installed, quick release sling swivels
Pretty is as pretty does, she shoots .5 MOA with Hornady 140 gr Interloc bullets at 3,100 fps same same with Sierra 85 JHPs at 3,500 fps.
