Does anybody here have any firearms they've never shot?

Yes, a T-series Hi-Power and a C-96 Mauser. Whoever proofed them was the last person to have fired them. Both are 99% guns. I know the Browning was never fired after leaving the factory because the man who bought it new never shot it before I got it. The Broomie is clean on the outside but the entire gun is still gooped in cosmo on the inside. I posted the browning in the "safe queen" thread in the general section, on the third page, along with a 1911. I have never shot the 1911 either, but it isn't mine. Probably doesn't count .

All my guns have been fired at some point by others. Of them, there are at least a couple I've not gotten around to firing yet. Remington 81 in 300 savage as I lost a screw for it and need to replace it. Swiss Vetterli as I've not yet successfully cobbled together ammo for it. The latter is high on the to-do list once I restore my gun room to some semblance of order.

Hmm, the Vetterli is an 1881. Almost sounds like 81 is a curse for me.

I have 2-my MAS 1936 and my Remington M-1917-that I have only fired with cartridge adapters.

Unfortunately yes. Several I inherited from my father's collection and a few rifles I purchased. The intent is there...just not the opportunity so far.

Yes. I have a Mosin-Nagant with a Octagonal (I think) receiver and the Tsar's crest, a P14 British, a Spanish carbine (1893 action, 7x57mm) and a Zastava .22 lr I haven't been able to shoot yet. Weather and commitments. All are used, some more than others.

I've had guns I ended up trading or selling without ever firing. Rare, but has happened.

A friend of mine bought a few guns from a fellow collector over the weekend.

A vest pocket Colt .25acp from the mid 20's and a Colt pocket hammerless .32acp late teens. Both unfired in their original boxes, which are in near mint condition.

Other than a collector keeping NIB why would you own a gun and not shoot it? Clean and remove cosmoline and fire at will.
Because the ammo is scarce and the steel is suspect, lol.

Ive never shot my first rifle, a late-war Type 99. Bought it on my 18th birthday.

Its in terrible condition- pitted, scored, and the stock is held together by an aluminum tea cup wrapped around and nailed to it. I have no doubt some of the damage is from artillery shrapnel.

I paid $14, and the seller thought he got the better end of the deal.

I would disagree.:D

A similar topic I replied to in 2009. Still holds true today.

I shoot all my rifles that I buy. They are no good to me just sitting in the safe. That being said I have one M39, a 1943 SKy, that was purchased in 2005 that I have not fired. I have taken it with me many times to the range but just haven't loaded her up. There is nothing wrong with her outside of being well worn. Stock is dinged up, not much rifling left and practically zero metal finnish but headspace is good. No way of telling what the rifle went through. For all I know lots of training and poor care is why she is all worn down. There is no creepy aura or feeling. She just reminds me of an old hunting dog who's best years are long behind. Perfectly content to just sit by the fireplace as opposed to running around the woods and fields. I will still pack her up and head to the range now and then but chances are she'll just watch the others in action.

Yes. A Weatherby Vanguard deluxe I purchased at a fantastic price on a close out, I have even mounted a good scope on it. A Glock 17 and Glock 19. I will shoot them all sometime when I get around to it.

Every gun we own has been shot. Most within 24hrs of acquisition. No matter how weird or rare.

*HK P7M8, HK P7M10, and HK P7M13 - Owned them all. Totally over rated, over engineered, Kraut garbage. Sold them, don't miss them.

The HK P7 was the issue firearm for the NJ State Police in the 1980s, the troopers I talked to all disliked it, the squeeze cocking mechanism required a very unnatural draw and then a shift in the grip for shooting.
Haven't fired my Lebel or M1916 Berthier yet-and have reloading dies. I have been shooting my Browning HP and Colt Mark IV Series 70 with my Ciener units for years, forget when I last put a center fire round through them.

Yes, I've got a Carcano 91/TS I bought last summer I've never shot because I had no ammo for it. But ---- yippee!! There's supposed to be four boxes arriving today!!

Likewise with my low-rent RIA 1911 and Ciener unit -- in fact, the unit is about due for a replacement recoil spring.

I just bought a new GSG magazine for it, which locks the slide back after the last round. https://www.midwayusa.com/product/1006134152?pid=760880

(BTW, I had to sell the CZ Kadet and Ruger Mk II recently, but I kept the 1911 and this Glock and their conversion units. I carry the Glock so it gets run about 25/75% centerfire/rimfire.)

Haven't shot my AR pistol yet. I finished it about 4 months ago so it is still a "young" one. A spring came flying out of it last night when I was adding a few bells and whistles. So the trigger time is put back a couple weeks.

Excellent choice. HK P7M8, HK P7M10, and HK P7M13 were engineering marvels. Still cutting-edge genius.
I own all the guns you mentioned, i am an avid HK collector. people always watch me with bubble coming out of their faces when ever my HKp7m13 to the range.
