2021 colt anaconda??

I don't see why COLT would have to make a new frame for the ANACONDA. They already had the "new" action that was adopted by COLT for the V frame MK V series. It looks like COLT is simply reviving the guns that made back in the 1990s', with the exception of the PYTHON, which in the 1990's was still using the century old trigger design that was in place when COLT introduced the PYTHON. Then new PYTHON uses the new action design.
The ANACONDA was known to be a large, heavy gun, at least as big as the S&W N-frames. Would then need a bigger frame?

A new frame would be required as the action innards are different from the old Anaconda i.e. a newer design V-spring vs. coil mainspring of the Mk V ilk.

"A 4" .45 Colt would get MSRP from me as soon as I found a retailer. Hell, I'd settle for a 5". I'll probably end up buying one anyways, but not for $1500"

I concur. The shorter barrel one would have me down at the dealer in nothing flat. I do like the actions on the new Colts.

Perhaps a .45 Colt w/ .45 Auto moonclip capability, 3" barrel and a round butt ?

I would like to get an opportunity to shoot one, like its looks. I wonder if the snake uses M29 speedloaders?

Forgive me for being naive, but what is the allure of an Anaconda in .45 Colt? I am not asking out of judgement. Instead, I simply assumed most folks would be fans of the harder hitting .44Mag so hearing the demands for .45 Colt is rather surprising.

Sometime in the past decade, I passed on a 4" Anaconda because it was in .45 Colt. I didnt want the caliber. It was a nice gun. Asking price was $1800. I kinda regret letting that one get away due to its double scarcity of being a 4" and .45.

Because 45 Colt can run neck and neck with the 44 in strong actions.

It appeals more to me due to the fact of commonality of bullets with 450 bushmaster and 45ACP. I don’t have any 44’s and don’t desire to own one, due to the aforementioned reasons.

And it’s such a classic cartridge.

I've personally seen 3 new pythons locally to me, all were listed at 1500 and 1600 bucks. The last one was 2-3 weeks ago.

Yeah, that was an absurd claim. Fanboys gonna fanboy. Even on Gunbroker, seller's paradise, most new Pythons are selling for under $2,000.

I’ve seen a couple in the last 6 months in the $1,500-1,600 range. They don’t last long but they certainly are not going for triple or even much above MSRP around here.

This is my thought on it...again just my opinion.
If you didn't reload .44mag would be my choice. As a reloader that choice becomes much more difficult as the .45 Colt (with the correct firearm) can do anything a .44 mag can do.

Agreed. Non-reloader 45 Colt makes no sense (if seeking performance), but to a reloader who wants to keep with the 45 cal (and chase performance), it makes sense.

The Anaconda can handle Tier 3 .45 colt loads, which are like .454 casull lite... .44 mag is an excellent cartridge, but that base is covered by multiple, excellent DA firearms. Hot .45 colt is limited to Ruger Redhawk and SRH at the moment.
