Hi All-

What's your favorite reloading snack?

Post it with a press.

I'd also like to mention:
- Don't touch food with lead on your hands
- Use sealed food containers if there is any chance there could be lead in the air e.g. dry tumbling, whatever
- I never drink more than 1 beer while reloading, seriosly

I don't eat or drink at the bench, it can wait .

I love a beer or a whiskey as much or more than many, I strongly disagree with having any alcohol before reloading. It's your choice but even one beer, is a bad idea.

I swear, I'm not a grumpy old man. I'm a grumpy young man, maybe. I just don't see the need to eat while I'm at the bench. I don't have a glass of water, if I'm feeling like having a snack I'll just go to the kitchen and eat, then resume.

Agree! but, if doing anything that does not involve primers or powder, I have a few cold ones..

I keep primers and powder in different rooms.

It’s turning out that I may be too ADD for reloading. So Snacks to distract me could be the last straw.

I’m already having to talk myself into a “focus trance” to keep from cranking out 1% of my rounds as squibs, like I’ve been doing

No alcohol for me while reloading. That comes later when I’m planted in front of the TV. If I’m planning a reloading session in the evening, I avoid a drink with dinner.

When I was working on my pilot’s licence, the FAA championed the saying “Eight hours from bottle to throttle”. Besides flying, it seems a good time frame for other dangerous activities I do
like driving race cars, reloading, and shooting.

I do not have food in the reloading room but I’ll have a diet soda once in a while.

JMHO- I don't allow any distractions of
any kind while I'm involved in the loading
process. It's something I feel that's worthy
of 100% of my attention.
If I need a break for refreshments or a
bathroom break or whatever, I'll stop what
I'm doing and go do whatever I need to do,
and return to my loading whenever I'm
ready to give it my full attention again.
To me it cuts way down on any potential
mistakes I might make if I were distracted.

you don’t have a toilets in your reloading room?

When sizing or loading maybe a tall cup half full of water so's I can grab the bottom and keep my grubbies away from the rim.

When casting usually have my leather gloves on so when I need a sip of water I have my tall cup available. Just remove glove and grab a quick drink while the pot is getting back up to temp.

No need for a snack, I got a couple day ration that rides just above my lap...:D

show us your ration! next to your press

No food, but I bring a Dew or two, as well as water, down with me when I head for the reloader (s). Then I fire up the spare phone and speaker with some C&Rsenal, Forgotten Weapons, Drachinifel, or Dark Skies.

It’s easy for me to lose track of time. If I kept any snacks handy I would start missing days.

Hunger forces me out from the bunker.
With a big ol’ box of beautiful, golden ammunition!:)

Let’s not be silly though, I still have coffee!:D

Gotta stay awake somehow, right?

I will snack and drink something (usually ice water) before I start. Then as I take bathroom trips (thanks water pills) I will graze and drink as needed. Once had a friend that ended up with lead poisioning due to smoking while reloading. He would step out to light up but never washed his hands while loading 1K LSWC at a time.
