How Many Bullets Are In This Tub?

Hi All-

I hope you enjoyed this version of Guessing Contest. This particular tub seems to have been deceiving; I was even surprised when I counted the bullets. Most guesses were far lower than the actual number.

There were actually 487 bullets in the tub. The winner is Obturation, with a guess of 490!!!!!!!!!!!!+!!!!! :what::what::what::):):):):)

Only problem is he wants the baby crown too, not partin' with that.

The extra bullets thing is a good point, and got me thinking. I just assumed there were exactly 500. Your comment made me count them, and there were actually 510.
 
Most of those bullet makers measure count by weight. Adding a couple assures you always get enough or make up for damaged ones. Oddly enough the only maker I always got my exact amount was the Rainier plated bullets. Brad always added a couple as did most everybody else that bulk sold in 500 count or more packages.

I'm not even kidding, this package made my week. Now I've got a little buddy to hang out with at the reloading bench!
