I like the Lyman case trim Express. It trims from distance off of the shoulders so cases need to be sized the same. Works well for all of the .223 that I trim. Comes with the bushings for the popular bottle neck rifle cases.

All three of the cases you mentioned have a shoulder and can be trimmed by indexing off the shoulder for more uniform necks ie more uniform neck tension. The other added benefit is if you ever plan to neck turn trimming from the shoulder is key.

Price EACH trimmer with ALL of the items added into the cost of trimming all three calibers, before you purchase.

Some trimmers require special shell holders or similar.

Speed - I prefer Possum Hollow - chuck in a drill and GO! Accurate as well.

Also use a Forster - remove the handle and use a drill as well. Very fast and accurate.

LE Wilson are also exceptional case trimmers. You do NOT need the fancy stand - wood block is plentiful and frugal.

I'm new at all this. I have a 5 gal. bucket of 556 range brass cleaned and FLresized, and checked with a Sheridan slotted gauge. I started out using the Lee quick trim, then the deluxe model. Drove me nuts as it kept losing its dialed in length.
I went and bought the LE Wilson case trimmer, where you need to get the holders separately. I'm wizzin' through brass now, with less than .005 variance each direction.I trim to 1.750 - then a quick bevel with the lyman multi tool and rcbs pocket reamer in my hand held drill. That trimmer will last forever, and keep true. - if I get lazy, I can even add the power screw driver to it. It looks tits..

Like you I was kind of set back at spending a lot of money on a trimmer. I got by for a long time using a hand crank trimmer.

Trimming was historically one of my least-favorite tasks, with reloading, now I don't mind it so much. Machine does all the work, and each casing only takes a second or two.

I have not regretted for one minute the money I spent on that trimmer.

As I'm moving my reloading stuff around at the moment, that girl will get mounted to a clamp on board, so it can get stuffed in a cabinet when I'm not using it.

I’m a fan of the Giraud. Not on the cheap side but it will last you a life time. Indexes off the shoulder chamfers and deburrs at the same time. Trimmer is around $500 and the collets run somewhere around $30. If you have volume to trim this will ease your pain a speed up the process.

Another vote for the Lyman Xpress. I've got both the Lyman standard universal base trimmer and the RCBS trimmer for my straight wall cases but the bottle necks go to the Xpress.

There are many good ones on the market. RCBS works very well.

I use my table drill press and the Lee cutter and depth guage part of their system. I use an aluminum plate as the stop on the press table. Fast and cheap as that is the way I like it.

I also use the RCBS three way cutter but with a cheap drill adapter that used to be offered by a guy on THR.

+1 on the RCBS.
I previously used the Lee, and it worked nominally.
