So is anyone seeing the new model 2021 big BIG snake in real life yet?
Price is significantly less than the 2020 python.
Comes with black hogue grips, a blessing and a curse: practical for the caliber but not really fit for an anaconda although for hunting and shooting I'm sure the actual shooter won't complain but the collector might wince.

I've got a king cobra and a 4.25 inch python, so the Anaconda would finish off my Colt collection.

What information do y'all have about these in terms of reliability or any issues that have been reported or positive or negative reviews especially first hand experience?

Where can I get one today for 1400 or less?

The only other gun I might get instead of this would be a Premier grade Freedom Arms model 83 454 casull 7.5" in very lightly used like new condition with the box for $2,000. Has the original sites.

I currently own two performance center 629 s with hunting length barrels and a 5" Ruger Redhawk 44.
I also have Freedom Arms model 83 454 casull with a ported 7.5 in Barrel Field grade with scope on it but that has No front or rear sight. The only other 454 I have is a Ruger Toklat which is essentially a 5-in barrel Ruger Super Redhawk.

What would you do?

To buy Both I would have to sell another gun worth at least $1,000.

Price is not significantly less, actually they are same MSRP, and I doubt you will find one below $1500 for a few years.

That's $200 Less than cheapest Python.
My question is has anyone seen one or have more info on them.

I got my python this year:thumbup: so maybe I'll get the Freedom Arms instead.o
I don't need another 44 and I doubt anaconda is as good as S&W 629 PC Hunter

I was pawn shop/gun shop cruising with a friend the other day in Broward County. I found a 1995 model Ruger Redhawk, .44 Mag and bought it. My pal found a brand spanking new Anaconda, and bought it. He paid a lot more than I did, but golly, it's a beauty. I believe his out the door price was right at $1500.

I had always said that if Colt made a 44 mag I would buy one. When that time came I had heard about the horrible accuracy of the early ones, so I held out waiting for the later models to be corrected. Waited too long and they quit making them. I have beat myself up over this for years.

I am so glad that they will be made again. This time I’m buying one, hopefully not at scalper’s prices.

I have an Anaconda my grandpa bought new in '96 that's out of time from not a whole lot of shooting. I know the new one is different, but personally I'd trust a Ruger or Smith over an overpriced Colt.
The cylinders on the Smith are a tad too short for heavy bullet loads in .45 Colt, and the Ruger lockwork can't compare with the Colt.

But that's a pointless argument -- apparently no one here has even seen the new Anaconda, let alone bought one.

According to reviews, they are accurate and have smooth triggers.

They are said to be scaled-up New Pythons. Python grips will fit.

Good review here.

All of the new Colt revolvers have started out above MSRP. Right now all gun prices are inflated. If you're waiting to find one under MSRP it'll be a long wait.

The only place I could find any for sale is at Gunprime.com. They think they can sell them for $4,999...

What on Earth does that mean?

Point I was trying to make is a Python-sized frame for a 44 seems odd to me.
Comparing my Old Anaconda to pics of the “new run” seems the top-strap is thinner, making the overall appearance more “svelte” - to me.
I read elsewhere that the “new” Anaconda was, “a scaled up Python,” and I have to wonder what that means beyond the physical size of the two revolvers.

It is NOT "Python sized".

"Scaled up Python" means that it is a large revolver that uses the same basic internal design as the new Python. See the review in Post #14.

When you say he bought a brand spanking new anaconda you don't mean a 2021 anaconda do you?
