I am looking at getting the target uberti, I probably won't find a ruger I can afford so I think the ss target would be good for a gun to shoot a lot for many years.

I've owned a few uberti 58s and all were great, but anything different about the stainless target.

I see one in stock for $550 that's about my max price and it's in stock supposedly. I'd like a 5.5 inche uberti but don't seem any in stock. I am fitting back and forth with getting a walker.

So anyone have the ss nma target, how you like it or recommend it.

I'm surprised to see that the Uberti SS target has a lower price than the Pietta SS at Dixie.
In 2015, a guy unboxes his new one and then in a 2nd video he takes 5 shots with it for the 1st time without adjusting the sight.
He says that every shot hit the target, and that he likes the gun.
The shooting starts after the 12:00 mark.

Here's the unboxing.

Ya I've seen those a while back, when did pietta discontinue the ss, maybe that's why it was more.

Drat. I wanted one and dithered about scraping cash together and now they are gone. More fool me. Should anyone notice that these come back in stock, please say so and I promise not to hesitate again.

The Uberti at Dixie. I suppose we will see if they actually have one yo ship me and do so.

I would have preferred the Pietta as I find the Uberti grips to be just a bit too small for me, but we apparently live in the 70s and 80s Soviet Union where you buy whatever the stores have when they have it. Does anyone make bigger grips for the Ubertis?

The target from dgw has been I stock all week, I was going to maybe order the uberti 58 from midway, they have a nice 5.5" that's case hardened for $ 450 but they won't ship to new York state.

I wanted a target stainless version because I really like adjustable sights and I may end up carrying it as a sidearm while hunting this Fall/winter. I have gotten a hold of blued examples of pietta and uberti 58s, but I am a bit leery of holster wear as they get lugged around. Very hard to see holster wear on a stainless revolver. I may also see if I can pick up a stainless conversion cylinder, since I do have the stuff to load 45 colt.

I think midway has the ss cylinders in stock, I know they had the blued ones. I've always wanted the target, it's just a lot of money for a gun I really can't shoot unless I have a pistol permit which my area of ny is near impossible to get now. Or have to be with my dad since he has his permit.

I hear you. Glad to have permanently escaped the tri state area. Colorado says they aren't legally firearms for many applicatons, and nobody needs a permit to buy a handgun. The conversion cylinder is so that I can shoot it at the nearby indoor range.

Noticed that they are back in stock this morning after showing out of stock last night. I did not hesitate.

Just got the uberti SS 1858 myself. After much thought after shooting my buddys ruger old army im still a fan of the 1858 a tad more. The ruger is nice and built like a tank. I wouldn't mind having one BUT the 1858 ss is a thing of beauty. Im a COLT man but i cant deny the 1858 is the most accurate firearm i own
