Paddle Release Magazine

I'm not sure. I just checked the user manual and the only thing it says is: "The magazine release lever can be pressed with the thumb or index finger of the firing hand, in most cases without adjusting the firing grip."

I'll agree with the manual statement except for the part about "without adjusting the firing grip".

I like my HK P30SK's that I'm learning to adapt to the paddle magazine release. Frequently, I use a finger on my off hand, sometimes I use my trigger finger. The strong hand thumb just does not work for me. I guess my thumb is not long enough.

My Walther P99’s paddle lever is very simple to use...

...by dropping the Thumb of the support hand directly down to the paddle.

Feels much more natural with the Thumb than bending an index finger a bit sideways and pulling/pushing.

I'm also a fan of the Euro style mag release. I use my index finger to drop the mag on my HK's. I've even moved the mag release on my Sig to the right side. Even though I have large hands my thumb isn't long enough to comfortably span the grip to drop the mag.

That reminds me, I had a P226. 40 for several years that had a lefty mag release, and I left it alone for the same reason.

I had a Walther P99 and the paddle was one of several things I didn't like about it. It's no longer with me, having gotten sold.
