Please guys don't bash BP, or the thread will be under for sanitary reasons.

The things I miss by not having a Cabela's or big box/chain store here in NJ. In December when I bought my Weatherby Mark XXII, 15-20 minutes to fill out the paperwork, here in NJ the State Police do the NICS checks now, the store texted me when it was done.
Looked over my nickeled S&W M-27, the chambers are blued, as is the ejector star and rod.

Uberti let me know I am 74 on the list of 85 people waiting for a replacement from Uberti. My brand new El Patron was a piece of Garbage they couldn't fix and had to junk, do yourself a big favor and get a Ruger or a Colt.

Interesting, they won't give you your money back so you can get a Ruger or Colt?

My EL Patron Comp (45 C /45 acp) was one of the finest S.A. revolvers I've ever owned! I understand that any manufacturer can have a "lemon" get out but to decide that all of them are lemons is a bit ridiculous.

Apparently over 70 folks had the same problem so it was an entire batch of dangerous crap they put out.
200 rounds of .38 spl should not cause the frame of a new revolver to stretch to the point where the cylinder can move back and forth 1/4". End shake so bad the gun would no longer time correctly.

Yeah, I don't think I'd damn a whole brand of guns over one bad batch. I've been buying Uberti's since 1986 and have never regretted one. Over two dozen guns to date. Picked up one yesterday with another in the pipeline.

I would given that the returned it to me with endshake, in a dangerous condition where the timing went south. If I had fired full power .357 ammo in it it very well could have come apart.

The only way I would fire the new one they will send me is with a string from behind a blast shield.

I gotta say I'm absolutely loving this revolver after a couple hundred rounds. Fun as heck to shoot, everyone loves shooting it, great to look at and handle, and you just wipe it off with a soft cloth and some Remoil after each session=looks brand new again. I'm sold on nickel revolvers.

What a great , knowledgeable, entertaining thread!! I thought about it today at the range, shooting my own 1875 Outlaw, and one of my Piettas. Thanks, OP.

FYI found this about the hammer doohickey. I'm still carrying it with an empty chamber under the hammer.

Their Scholfield is supposed to have the same hammer block. I've been researching them since I managed to talk myself into needing one. It'll take some overtime for that want.

I'm glad you bought that. Now I know who to reference my Uberti nickel questions to. ;) My future Scholfield will be the nickel version.

BTW Craig, seriously, saw your thread with your holsters. Beautiful work. Do you take orders. Not completely off topic because 1K needs leather for that shiny new piece of his(maybe? assuming?).

And that is a gorgeous collection of firearms you have. Always love your threads.

1k, that's a great find. Always loved those as well. Ever since watching Open Range with Robert Duvall handling one. Schofield first though. After I gave my granddaughter my late 50s Sportsman, I've been jonesin' for a top break. When I bought a Schofield pellet gun for poops and giggles, that sealed the deal. Btw, they have an Outlaw replica too. Nothing like basement trigger time when the weather is disagreeable. Since my self defense needs have been covered for a long time. I've been looking at the fun guns that I always wanted. Just bought a Landor .410 revolving shotgun not too long ago. That thing is cool. Talked the wife into matching NAA Ranger top breaks. Selling point is granddaughters get our Black Widows. For once the phrase that it's for the children works for me.

Have fun with that piece. It's gorgeous. Will get in touch with you down the road about that nickel.

Thank you! I don't. I used to but stopped in 2016. Got away from it because it was too restrictive and repetitive for the limited time I have to spend doing it. Also got to where I couldn't even swing the maul due to tendinitis in both elbows. Now I only make stuff to post for sale on Etsy. I take suggestions though. ;)

To use the phrase I learned in the service:

I understand. ;)

Besides, it's not like it would happen fast. Ordered a Heritage Arms Ranch Carbine for one of my granddaughters birthdays.

Her birthday was end of August last year.

Thought I was smart and ordered it early July last year.

Still waiting. Pop-Pop did not look good. Fortunately she's a down to earth kid. Father explained things. The shortage of TP helped!
