Infringement
I thought that was the Sigma? This is some difference to both models. Sear block is the noticeably different. I can't recall the Sigma's trigger assembly. The SD9/40VE still has the Glock type slide lock.

Lucrative

Clunker

but I bought mine from a guy at work knowing it had cycling issues and I fixed that with a couple boxes of +p+ ammo that smoothed the gun out to about 97% reliable. One mag just sucked. After I did that I sold it and made enough to cover the ammo and have a bit left over which at that time undoubtedly went to the bar across the street from where I was working.
Mine I have had for more than 16 years never ever failed to work so far. It always goes bang. Trigger sucks.
1- always goes bang
2-trigger is too heavy

I had an SW9 I gave to my son. The trigger was very easy to make better and get rid of the scratchyness. I have a brand new SD9 and a brand new Glock gen3 model 17. I cannot tell that the Glock trigger is really any better than the SD9. And the SD9 feels much better in the hand than the Glock. So needless to say I like mine. A lot.

And the SW9 I gave to my son just worked. Every time. It was as perfectly reliable as any gun I have ever owned. As reliable as a well made revolver.

Every gun will have haters. I wonder how many of those haters have actually owned an SD gun and shot a couple of boxes of ammo through it? I bet most are repeating what they have read or just picked one up in a gun store and wiggled the trigger a couple of times. And thats what they base their opinion on.

No real experience? No valid opinion.

I bought one a couple years ago for $279, plus a $40 rebate. I was impressed by the quality of the machining, fit and finish. I am a revolver shooter so the trigger doesn't bother me at all. Mine is accurate and malfunction free and it resides on my nightstand. Sure its isn't quite as nice as my SR9c or Shield but it isn't bad, especially for what I paid

Good
Enough

Just bought a used one with 2 mags, booklet, and box, for $199. Looked almost new, no wear or scratches. There was not much else available. Seems pretty much like a Glock. 150 or so handloaded 115s, 124s, and 147 grain rounds through it, flawlessly. Good range gun or loaner for kids or grandkids. Could do worse.
