So a short while back I had a thread asking about using Varget in the 223 and what to expect. Well today I got to shoot 2 bullets loaded with the TAC I've been using and the Varget that I was gifted.
The two bullets are both Hornady, one the 62gr FMJBT that I have been shooting and the other a Hornady 68gr BTHP Match. Both ere loaded about equally and seated to the same depth.
In both samples the Varget loads shot lower consistently the 62gr by about 1.2" and the 68gr a full 2" lower. Overall the small sample of groupings proved to be on par with one another. Though I did learn that in my gun the heavier bullet shot better than the lighter one with both powders.
