Lee Ram swage

I just recently got one. I have it set up on a Lyman "C" press. Seems to work good. I was using an RCBS swage. I bought the Lee unit, on sale at Grafs. I think it works smoother than the RCBS swage. So far no complaints. I wouldn't set up any swage unit on anything but a cast iron press, because of the pressure, you put on the press when you swage.

I also had the RCBS swager and after using it investigated other options. I settled on the CH4D primer pocket swager/ram prime kit. I like the ability to use it on the top of the press and not having to thread the brass into a die or onto a rod. This looks like an OK unit but it still needs to be used as a stand alone process and not adaptable for a progressive like Dillon makes. YMMV

I am super happy with a Dillon 600. I started with an rcbs swage and found it difficult to get much production using my rock chucker press. The swage rod tended to stick in the primer pocket. The Dillon is like night and day.
