S&W Model of 1917 vs 22-4 “Thunder Ranch”

A couple years ago I was looking at getting a 625 as I wanted a 45acp revolver. When looking my LGS had one of the Thunder Ranch M22 and you could tell that Thunder Ranch put some effort to make the M22 a better handgun. In the end I bought the M22 and have never looked back. Great and soft shooting revolver.

I have a 22-4 Thunder ranch model it came with a green cloth case with the TR Logo on it. TRrSerial number 5th screw. Mine was made 2007 iirc. Its avery nice fixed sight gun. Some of the thunder ranch models had a gold billboard logo on them. Mine just has the large S&W roll mark. It also came with rosewood TR logo service size grips. I put hogue wood grips on mine.

The Model 21 Thunder Ranch, 44 Special, had the gold markings. The 45 ACP variation was simpler, plainer, a more perfected variation.
