Just looking at my profile, I've been on here for 10 years today. Looking back, I have to say, THR has had an actual impact on my life. This forum, because of the fantastic members here, the positive attitude and culture and the conscientious involvement of the moderators has really changed my shooting, introduced me to reloading and given me countless hours of enjoyment. When I first joined, I had just purchased my 1st handgun. By the time I made my 1st post, I had bought my 2nd. 10 years later, I have a safe that is pretty full, a whole room that I built in my garage dedicated to reloading, stuffed with gear and components. In short THR, you have ruined me......and I thank you very much for that!:D

Congratulations on the milestone! You caused me to look at my profile and I passed 10 years last February. Time flys.................

Very cool, oh look just about me too!

At least on this user, I had another I used starting 2006 or so but decided to change cause I wanted to be a bit less obvious on the internet with my name and whatnot.

But I agree, so much knowledge gained here and a much more pleasant way to do it over the other forums I participate in.

Congrats!

Every once in a while I'll go check something on other sites and I'm amazed at the bickering and contentious atmospheres.

Thanks to all here, with props to the mods, aside from being a highly knowledgeable database, this place is an oasis of civility.
I have seen that too! It's amazing to see a new comer post on some forums and get accused of being a sheel.
THR is one of the more welcoming forums that get you hooked. :)

Gonna be 10 years for me next month. It's interesting to be able to pick so many people's brains and get information, opinions, and answers on gun and hunting related topics. Plus, it's easy to post photos here, ( compared to some other web sites) because sometimes a picture really is worth a thousand words.

I have learned a lot on this forum. I have gotten into some squabbles, said some stupid things and looked like an idiot a time or two, but it all boils down to this; I have dropped the other forums I belonged to, because this forum is the only one I really like.

Reading one's early posts is very entertaining!
I'm at 11 years this month.
I would like to retrieve or retract some of my early posts.
I remember one of the first threads that participated in was about putting a scope on a lever gun. I was serious when I said that scoping a lever gun was blasphemy.

Guess who needs a scope on his lever gun now?:scrutiny::uhoh:

The 18th will be my fourteenth anniversary here. Always found this site easy to chill out to. It's relaxing here unlike many other forums. We have our mods to thank for that. The ones we have now and those that were here before them.

November 2010 for me, and I agree, impactful and great people. This is a great place for gun folk.

It's been, as of Feb, 5 yrs for me hard to believe. I didn't post much at first, just read and learned, that the mods didn't tolerate abusive posts, like I've experienced on other sites.

There is a great wealth of information, knowledge here unmatched by any other site I've been on.

I've met up with fellow members and enjoyed the comeradery, time spent in the woods hunting and visits to their homes.
