I have a few thousand rounds of calibers I shoot, but I try to only shoot the volume I am currently buying so my reserve isn't depleted. Luckily, my LGS has had a steady but low inventory for most of the past year.
That said, I spend a lot more time on the forums and brousing gun stores and sites and of course, seeing a lot of "nice to haves" I haven't really increased my buying, but I do have my eye on a nice Super Blackhawk in 44 Magnum....

I'm wondering if others are buying more guns lately?

None of the above choices.
I've shopped a lot more, but bare shelves and scarcity pricing have curbed my purchases.
Mind, I'm also comfortable with my present battery, too.

Had I found a good deal, I would have taken it. Considered several, some of those more than once, too. Like the used .270 at my LGS--it had cheap glass on it, and getting good glass would have wiped out the bargain on the price.

I'm an impulse buyer. And the people here have my life great. All those ideas always keep my mind in overdrive. The shortage hasn't caused a slowdown, but it hasn't caused me to speed up either. I get what I want when I want. Temper that with a budget. As much as I would like a custom 5k plus rifle, I get what the average person can afford.

I have not purchased ammunition, reloading components and firearms during the past year or the year before that!

I had to answer No! As the questions didn’t quite fit our scenario! My wife recently decided that we needed a pair of “pocket carry” 22 semi-autos! memtb

Yes but mine has really been in response to the state of colorado's threat to ban semi automatic sporting rifles. There were a couple of rifles, AR10 and AK47, that I have wanted to buy but have been putting off. I found one of each available at a reasonable price and the exact models I had been looking at so I bought them.

The only things I'm buying are nicer high end guns such as N frame Smiths. Although some are interesting, I have enough polymer.

I’ve definitely bought more guns in the last year than normal.

two main reasons, one COVID has been good to me, at least finically. In addition to the silly Government money, I’m getting a lot more overtime at work as more people are out because of the stupid COVID company policies.

also I sold my house and became debt free, less bills and more money, yeah I’ll buy more guns.
Has nothing to do with the ammo supply.

I've purchased several guns in the last year. I purchase a gun because I desire to own it. I may shoot it less because I'm conserving ammo. Their are many ways to enjoy it. Laser cartridges put the gun in your hands to operate, hold, fondle and admire. This current ammo shortage will pass.

I been buying guns again. Bought a Colt 1911 the other day. Nothing special about a Colt. But I like the logo

I voted some only because I have more disposable income now that I have retired.(Don't ask me how that happened, but I have a smart wife and a good financial advisor)

There are some on the bucket list (another thread), and if I happen to run into one, it will be coming home! (And try not to do "Oh, I like that" spontaneous purchases....but it too could happen ;))
