"Zeke is trained to alert on what we call polymer 80's which is the grip part of the handgun, he's also trained to alert on the steel, the slides, and the ammunition we use for firearms," Deputy Moore said.

The way I read it, the dog would alert on any firearm with polymer, steel, or ammunition. So ghost gun or a Glock would come to Zeke's attention.

In Illinois, drug-sniffing dogs are false positive 50% of the time. The dogs look to the handler to detect the handler's commands. Police dogs as detectors via smell is greatly abused. I'm sure the Cali anti-gunners couldn't care less. "The ends justify the means."
