I voted "Pistol or revolver with multiple reloads." For the past few years, I carried a Shield 1.0 with two spare mags very nearly 100% of the time. I've recently switched to the Shield Plus, but I'm not sure how to categorize it. Double stack? Single stack? Dingle stack? In any event, I like having the spares: (a) to balance the load on my belt; (b) in case of malfunctions; or (c) in the event that I need to shoot a whole bunch of times. At the moment, spare Shield+ mags are unavailable at anything less than wholly ridiculous Gunbroker auction prices, so I'm carrying a 13-rounder with the 10-rounder as the spare. When mags become available, I'll go to 13+1 with 2 spare 13-rounders. Then again, if my Shield 45 gets to acting right, I might carry that with 7+1 and a couple of 7-round spares.

I'm a civilian...living on a small farm....in a safe rural area. I carry a S&W M-60, but loaded with .38 Spl +P JHP's...I do not carry a speed loader for trips to town, but may do so with 158 gr .357 loads for use on crippled stock, etc. YMMv, but this works well for me and mine. Best Regards, Rod

Mostly a Titanium 6 shot revolver with no reloads. (light and comfortable) Sometimes I carry a reload.

Funny you mention the Galco... I have two of those... but. They are only for the 45 Kahr, not the 9mm. I bought two in the hopes I could modify them to hold the 9mm magazines, but no.

Just gave my mp 40c to the kids .Now SIG 365 With one ex mag or mp shield with one ex mag

I voted double stack without a reload. That being said, I'm carrying a mid-duty sized handgun FNS with 17 rounds, so I don't really feel undergunned.

When carrying it for duty (which I thankfully no longer have to do at the moment since we contracted dedicated infrastructure security due to unresolveable conflicts with DOT/commercial vehicles), or in certain high threat environments, I will carry a second magazine.

Glock 23 + spare mag for walking the dogs in my "excellent area" or going to an area of "perceived greater threat" (WalMart:p)

Actually...
There is a PM9 in my weak hand front pocket in addition to the Glock 23 IWB

"All that";) for walking the dogs, going on a bicycle ride, Publix, posting ignored stuff on the internet, typical "good area" day.

Well, I finally got a couple of spare mags, so my EDC is now a Shield Plus, outfitted with TruGlo Tritium Pros and 2 spare 13-round mags.

Kinda similarity I finally got a few more 8 round mags for my HK45c and like 2 of the 8s over the single 10. More rounds, and the shorter mags conceal much better than the taller 10 round for me. As for the pair? For smaller mags (and 1911 mags) it's just as easy for me to conceal 2 as it is for 1 (same goes for Glock 19/23 or the 10 round Glock 30) so why not have another mag available.

Usually have 2 10 round mags in my truck, and a few more in my travel bag. In case of the zombie apocalypse I guess :)

IWB strong side carry single stack, with 2 magazines on weak side! Occasionally carry a “mouse gun” in pocket or ankle rig! memtb

I suspect that a civilian gunfight which produces both the need and the opportunity to reload is astonishingly rare.

I carry six spare cartridges for my revolver in belt loops. I'm honestly not sure why.

And as always, this is not a critique of anyone else's methods. You all know your situations better than I know them, and are the best ones to figure out your own solutions.

10mm 1911 10+1 in gun with 2 8 round mags (Miami rig)
Draco with 5 30 round mags in the truck if riots or other nonsense is going on around the country.

Was just a j frame and a box of 38s in the trunk until the Floyd riots. Then the wave of crazed drug addicts came from California.

Primary carry configuration is a Kahr PM9 in a DeSantis SOF-TUCK IWB holster with one extra magazine. Secondary carry is a KelTec P3AT in my front right pocket. Cell phone goes in the left front pocket.

Answered revolver with no reload because I dont count the speed strip which remains in a locked case in my car. Currently vetting a small single stack 9 (Beretta APX carry) to replace my Ruger LCR snub so would answer differently soon. Testing Is so far so good just need another session at the range and the ordered hard shell belt holsters to arrive. Currently using a Sticky holster for the autoloader but want something better. Will likely still not carry a spare mag.
