What's your latest bucket list handgun?

Still would like a Mateba in 454, a P08 Luger and pretty much any type of Broomhandle mauser. Still regret passing on a Red 9 15 years ago.

A stainless, .41 Magnum, Flat Top Ruger Blackhawk with a 4-5/8" bbl. They're out there...but have evaded my scrutiny to date. Best Regards, Rod BTW, here's my previous heart-throb: a 3-screw Ruger...same caliber and bbl. length...a truly lovely handgun.

I would have to say one of the few left to buy is an S&W 27 4". Not many others at this point, but if I score a deal?

I still claim to have no actual “bucket list,” or grail-quests, but yeah, an S&W Model 27, or pre-27, will always tend to capture my attention, when I see one. N-Frames are too large for me to hold properly, while having enough finger on the trigger for a DA pull, so N-Frames are not contenders for the title of carry gun, and I do not buy safe queens, but there is nothing wrong with keeping one or two of them around, for single-action range and field use.

Hi...
Not quite sure what my latest "bucket list" handgun might be...
It was a nickle plated SAA clone in .45Colt with a 7-1/2" barrel but they are difficult to find right now.

I just put a BlackHawk in .30Carbine on layaway on Saturday that I didn't even know I wanted until I saw it, so maybe that is my latest " bucket list" handgun.

That's the problem with this hobby.. you think you know what you want and all of a sudden some bright shiny thing comes along and distracts you.

Impulse buys are great fun but they sure do lead you down a rabbit hole. I already bought a couple hundred pieces of Starline .30Carbine brass from a local gun shop and spent a good deal if time trying to find a set if RCBS carbide dies in .30Carbine( nobody seems to have any). Probably take a trip the first of the month to my cast bullet supplier and buy a bunch of bullets for .30Carbine.
Guns are cheap its the rest of the stuff that breaks you.

Pretty good post, Rex...gotta admit though that I REALLY like those M27's...but like you, have found them a bit big...my hands fit ok, but the weight on the gun belt is noticable now that I'm 75. All that notwithstanding, my 5 incher is, without a doubt, the most accurate .357 or .38, I've ever shot. Best regards, Rod

I have some incoming. A Burgsmüller marked Anschütz 1422 in exceptionally good condtion, an Uberti 1860, a SIG P210-2 and a S&W Target Champion that a friend already test drove.

It's hard for me to consider anything currently made to be considered a "bucket list" gun, although there are quite a few I like. My "bucket list" guns tend to be older classics:

WWII Walther P-38
WWII Walther PP
Prewar commercial P-08 Luger
S&W Model 27 with 5" barrel
S&W Model 686-1 or no dash, with 4" barrel
Colt Anaconda in .45 Colt with 5" barrel
S&W 1006 with adjustable rear sight
