I know this is silly and perhaps a conversation starter, but...I bought a pound of this powder (7828SSC) at a discount a few years ago and finally looked as to where it might go. Hodgdon Reloading Data Center says I can load a 120 grain .280 Remington and a 215 grain 30-06...Everything else I have is not listed...seems a little faster than H-1000. Anyone used this in anything 30 cal or under?

I used to use the regular 7828 in my 7mm mag (along with other powders as well) Did a good job

I have used it in 257 and 300 Wby Mag. Decent groups and velocity in both. If I'm not mistaken I've seen load data for 7 Rem Mag and 264 Win Mag along with 280 Rem and 30-06 Spr.

You can get a few ideas from GRT (Gordon’s Reloading Tool) which is free to download. Are you looking for a specific caliber and/or projectile combo? I think I saw 30-06 in 150 and 165 grains when I checked the Hogden site.

My 300 Winchester powder of choice. Both versions of 7828 are outstanding in it with projectiles 180gr and heavier

I using IMR-7828ssc in (2) 280AI,270,270Wby. I haven't made change over but been shooting R-26 in one of 280AI with 175gr ABLR and my 284 on long action.
