Looking at this guy as a possible carry. Do any of you use it as a carry? Interested in what you like / don't like about it.

Have two, a full size with the Romeo1 RDS, and a "Carry" model. The 320 Carry conceals well, has great X-Ray night-sights (with that big front sight dot) and just a truly nice trigger (one of the premier striker-fired pistol triggers on the market, IMO). I put the Wilson Combat grip module on my Carry, and it is sweet. The pistols are accurate, reliable and fun to shoot. Not a striker-fired pistol guy (I favor the P-226/228/229) but I find myself carrying the 320 when I feel the need for 17+1 in a portable and reliable package. Really, there's nothing I don't like about the 320 pistols.

P320 series is excellent, in my opinion. I have an M17 (full-size P320) for my nightstand and recently picked up an M18 (carry-size P320) as a carry option. Very accurate, highly reliable. Hard to go wrong with a Sig.

They are very good guns. A few guys at work have been using them as their duty guns and through testing at work they have proven themselves to be a very well made and reliable pistol.

One of the really cool things about the 320 is the trigger group is the serialized part and easily comes out. So if you don't like something about the gun you can easily buy aftermarket parts to fit it to your hand. I know you can do that with other guns too, but not on this level. You can completely change the grip frame in a few minutes. The one from Wilson Combat, like Old Dog has above, is a very popular one and for a good reason. It's very comfortable and ergonomic. Plus I think it's like 60 dollars.

I can get back on target quicker with my P320 (.45) than any other pistol I own. It also makes me a better shot. Love it and it carries well in my Sticky Holster. The smooth edges make it super comfortable.

Its a striker fired pistol. I have two and I have several Glock. No better no worse IMHO. Same for the other hundred striker fired pistols. Being able to change the grip is fine and if you want to do that is a good choice. I doubt many do.

A good friend of mine has the P320 Carry. I don't like the grip and I think the trigger is very strange. I so much prefere my polymer pistols over his P320.
The few good things I can say about the P320 are that it is accurate, reliable and I like the idea of the internal steel frame.

I have a P320 RXP XCompact that I really enjoy as a range gun. It's dead on accurate and it fits my hand well. Overall though, even though it's a compact, I still find it a little big for carry. My preference only as I know people who carry it and love it. For me I prefer the Sig P365 as my primary carry gun. You're preferences may be different.

I have two. I don’t know why I keep buying plastic nines, I find them unremarkable. I reckon I get suckered in by the Uber high capacity of these two in particular.

I know why I bought this Legion X-5; it is VERY heavy, heavier than most metal pistols. The jury is still out on how I like it. I’m REALLY trying hard to like it and justify the expense.

I reckon the threaded barrel and capacity is what drew me to this ^^^^. I like it a bit more than the Legion on a linear scale so to speak. My expectations were not near as high as they were for the X-5 Legion, and it cost almost half as much.

One big advantage that these have over other plasticfantantics is the trigger, especially the X-5 Legion. So that is a big positive to keep in mind.

I have a 250, and considered a 320. The 250 and 320 share alot of parts. My 250 is crazy accurate once you get the trigger down. Also very reliable and I don't think there's a question of reliability of the 320.

The drawbacks are the huge slide. Same with the 320. I don't carry it. Also, as far as triggers for a striker on the 320, I don't like it.

So in essence, for slide size and bore axis, as well as trigger, I looked elsewhere.

Considered Walther, much better trigger, same big slide.

S&W m&p and CZ P10 were next. Slightly more trim and slim, better triggers.

I went with the CZ P10.

As far as aftermarket though, the SIG 320 is really only second to Glocks. Then maybe M&P as third.

So in summation:
320 pros are accuracy, reliability, aftermarket with cons trigger and bore axis and bulk.

If you're open to other brands but still want a "mainstream" pistol, I would compare it to the M&P, CZ P10, Walther PPQ/PDP, and Gen5 Glocks. That's kinda what I did

If you can conceal a gun that large, go for it. They have a subcompact frame, which helps in some cases. It still is a little chunky regardless. A well-known youtuber Chris Baker carries a Px4 appendix, which is about the same as X-Compact.

The bore axis looks high on P320, but I never had any disdvantage on timer with it, at least when compared with Glock 19.

I hate the cost of magazines a little. It's okay if you only have 3, but it can cost as much the gun itself to have 10.

This thread made me get mine out of the safe and I disassembled and reassembled it. Looked it over (gun fondling) and then after watching some YouTube videos decided to order the Apex flat trigger upgrade package. I’m a sucker for upgrade goodies like that. It’s a sickness.

Pretty much how I got Polymer 80 grip for my P320. Most people don't realize that you can get one for a SIG, the company is mostly known for their Glock line.

No longer true. Only the first run were a problem, a problem fixed by Sig by sending it in for an upgrade. I bought mine early on and sent it in to Sig The trigger I got back is truly excellent. They put the Legion trigger in the upgraded P320's. Truly outstanding...

I own one too, but considering I also own pistols that didn't need any factory help for reliability and safety id never carry a gun with a known flaw. The p320 is range only for me, no matter what the factory says. It was a flawed design when it went out the door and how can I trust SIG after that? Luckily I don't have to.

The walker trigger was good enough, until it wasn't.

So basically, you were a beta tester......that's cool
.
Please note, that many who sent their guns in for the "drop safety" upgrade were told by SIG that their guns were not repairable. And for others, SIG charged them for the repairs. As one of the settlement conditions in the class action lawsuit*, SIG agreed to refund those owner's the cost of the repairs or the price of a new P320.
I get it, companies make mistakes but it shouldn't take a class action to make them fix it.

Interesting comments about the 320 trigger. Is it worse than other striker pistols such as Glock and S&W?

Just don't drop it

Not if it has the recall/ voluntary upgrade that isn't voluntary nor an upgrade and is in no way a recall.

They put the Legion trigger in the upgraded P320's.

They didn't put a legion trigger in mine when they "upgraded" it. They simply made it not shoot me if it falls. They didn't harm it any but it's not better than it was either. I have shot a legion. Mine isn't. That said the 320 has a pretty darn good trigger IMO. Problem with sig is that they bait and switch and use bad practices regularly. Just like the 226 legion that had a great greyguns trigger. Then they sold a bunch and quietly started using an inferior in house version..... they also marketed the Mosquito as a Sig. Proudly built by Sig Sauer. Then it started breaking and they said....oh yeah those are made by gsg

Plus if you buy a cheapish sig and it breaks after a year or 3..... you pay shipping both ways. 50-100 bucks. I have several of the 22x guns and it's not a huge deal on a 1000 dollar gun . Would really piss me off on my 300-400 dollar base model 320.

Is it worse than other striker pistols such as Glock and S&W?

I have exponentially more Glock than 320. I carry a Glock 27 for ccw. I have also in the past carried a Glock 22 daily and still would. I deer hunt with a Glock 20. Ive killed many whitetail with one. I regularly shoot 100 yards with my Glocks.

The 320 has a better trigger IMO. The only area I think the 320 is better in fact.

I've never seen a worse trigger than the early M&P. Haven't messed with one since those. They were awful. Not just for a striker fired gun. But for any gun. No doubt, they have fixed it by now.
