LoadData Subscription...?

No, tons of data but the search makes the data worthless as you cannot find anything. I have tried and gave benefit but no luck. Heck my password is email my tab remembers but i have to type it all in each time instead of just picking it or it won't log on.

As said above, searching takes some effort, luck and learning.

I keep wanting to get rid of it, but I find it pretty useful for the more obscure & less traveled cartridges & loads.

I guess you can consider it Back Up Data to what you may have on hand.

I also have Quick Loads along with 4 different Data / Mfr's Manuals.

If you are loading .308, .223, 9MM, 45ACP etc, you are not going to see the value.

Yes, I have it.

I finally broke down and subscribed hoping some of the back articles from Handloader Mag (same company) would be included. Not so. I can’t say I’ve gained a lot from the articles that are there. It does have a lot of load data. Can’t say I’ve used a lot of them, but I have used some. I haven’t decided if I’ll hang onto it after this year.

It’s actually been handier for some of my buddies - for instance one was looking for 28 Nosler loads. You can save data to a file, which is nice.

It’s probably cheaper than buying all the bullet manuals. And, I think lots of folks could probably benefit from Load depending on where they are in their loading career. Lots of experience? Maybe not so much

I second everything above.

Perhaps you can help me with this. Years ago, I was considering LoadData to backup my Speer manual data as well as the powder manufacturer online info, but then I read reports back in 2012 or so, that various loading manual publishers/powder manufacturers could not come to a financial agreement with LoadData and therefore, would not allow LoadData to use their information. Is this so? I read that LoadData then was going to test their own data.

It would be nice to have all the data from all the powder manufacturers in one spot......

Well, it’s there, but some of it is dated, and I haven’t checked to see if all powder companies are listed. It’s not like you can get the latest and greatest at your fingertips.

For instance, if I enter 9mm and 124 grain for bullet, and Hodgdon, then Hodgdon powders do indeed show up but the only bullet listed is Berry’s. If I keep messing with it, I get there, but I can’t do it by bullet manufacturers.

I maintain a large print library and that’s my go-to, and what I’d recommend as a base - or maybe I’m just old and like the feel of a book. Book and full catalogue downloads have all the fine print, which is a very good thing. Abbreviated load data can cause issues.

Most component companies have their data out there free for download anyway. Sierra’s is a free AP and is very good, and I do subscribe to Hornady’s. I’ve got Accurate, Alliant and Ramshot downloaded to my phone. It’s handy to be able to reference in the field.

I’m like you in that I was curious for a long time, and it’s fairly cheap. I’ve subscribed to Handloader for a lot of years, and hoped this would have all those caliber articles, but although the load data may be included, the actual articles are not. For that you need to buy an expensive disc set. Naw, I don’t need the articles that bad. However, everything there can be downloaded and printed. I just haven’t messed with it enough to be too helpful. It’s pretty good for some of the more recent rifle cals.

Here’s a clip to hopefully help some.

Thank you so much for getting back to me! It confirms my suspicion...especially with the statement "All the loads are developed by the staff....". I'll stick with my manuals and powder manufacturer information. I was just hoping to have everything in one spot.....

Thanks again!

Any data you need I can take pic and post it here if you want. Hornady, Sierra, Nosler, Lee, Barnes, Speer, Lyman, Old and New .270, 06. .308, 357 One caliber one book...

Have been subscribed for many years and use it fairly often. In these days of Covid, it is even more useful since I pretty much have to load with the powders I have on hand.
