T or C series on that beauty ?
They are somewhat addictive. A true classic. Whenever one appears locally, I usually grab it.This on is a T Series, ~1970, in excellent condition.
I saw it at the crack house, ..er...gun store a couple of weeks ago and couldn’t get it out of my mind.

The BHP was IMO JB's best design... Simple and elegant. Why it never gained traction in later years with the surge in 9mm still baffles me.
Maybe its because its SAO, all steel? Dunno but to me its a perfect ergonomically designed pistol.
Nice find!
I sold mine
I know, I almost bought it. Kicked myself later for not doing it
I used to say the same thing, before someone pointed out that JMB had almost nothing to do with the high power. He had submitted an earlier prototype, which was unsuitable, and then he died. A Frenchman named Dieudonne Saive finalized the design and the first Hi-powers were made...nine years after JMB died. The pistol may carry his name, but he did not design it.The BHP was IMO JB's best design..
I couldn’t agree more . But here is why I think it didn’t sell . Mine was $985 new . 9 lb. trigger ( yes 9 lbs ) and gritty from the mag disconnect . Factory mags 13 rnds which I quickly replaced with Mec-Gar 15 rounders and 4 20 rounders . So when John Doe gun buyer is looking at pistols and that Glock 17 is $600 or less and holds 17 rounds their picking the Glock . Now I have Glocks and th eir a great pistol and all , but , I fixed my Hi-Power trigger and now it’s 4 lbs and I shoot it much much better than my Glocks . Every one who puts a Hi-Power in their hand always comments positively about the ergonomics. I won’t buy any more Glocks , but I will definitely buy more Hi-Powers .The BHP was IMO JB's best design... Simple and elegant. Why it never gained traction in later years with the surge in 9mm still baffles me.
