I know how that goes when I was a machinist in the Army and worked industrial maintenance. Get called to look at equipment that is messing up and it works fine the whole time I am watching.
Well if you haven't checked already, check the headspace and firing pin extension if it messes up again.

Yeah, I was an Engineer on a ship and those intermittent problems were the worst...

Disassemble the bolt. Clean everything thoroughly inside and out. Stretch the spring so it’s a little longer than before you started stretching it.

If that doesn’t work buy a new spring. You’re going to have to cut it to size and sand or file the cut flush.

The extra power in the spring won’t let a little crud give you light strikes. I hadn’t cleaned the bolt in that rifle since I installed the spring nearly 3 years ago.

Slow firing pin velocity cause most misfires. After firing i spray bolt & firing pin/channel with WD 40, to flush it out. Or let Hoppe's No. 9 Powder Solvent run down the pin channel from tbe bolt face. Then before the next outing, I lube with Break Free CLP. May help you?

Note how close the round part fits to the receiver. May cause drag if not lubed? I have 2 Savage Axis's 223 well used and newer 6.5 Creedmoor. Have not had problems.

You may try buying a neck sizing die, no FL sizing. One club member gun came back from Savage and still misfired. He fixed it by neck sizing only. But not recommenced for a hunting gun.
