Zincpoint Primers?

Tom knows a few people in the gun industry and he’s very sure that the primer factories are going online at the end of summer
Lots of people know a few people in the gun industry, but Tom seems to be the only one talking about new primer factories on the horizon. Besides you I mean. :) Just sayin'.

Multiple buyers of the Zincpoint primers have reported 30-40% failure rates (the actual brand is Servicios y Aventuras).
While we're on the subject of primers/ammo, I understand Remington's plant that recently reopened also manufactures primers.

While I didn’t purchase from Zincpoint, I did recently purchase 1000 Servicios y Aventuras small pistol primers locally. I’ve only used 100 so far, but they have been 100% reliable for me. If any large number of failures occur, I’ll be sure to post back.

I wonder if that 30% failure rate carried over to the second strike to see if it was a primer failure or if it was an operator failure to fully seat the primer.
I'm still wondering.

The 30% failure rate could be a bunch of new handloaders not seating them correctly. After all, there are not just 9 million new gun owners or more, but hundreds of thousands of new handloaders (or more). Or it could be that Zincpoint bought a bunch of Servicios y Aventuras defects/culls (though I can’t imagine why they would sell them and risk ruining their brand name). Either way I won’t buy anything from ZincPoint.

I'm okay for primers for awhile as is, but I'm counting on those 3 new factories popping up before I'm forced to buy $100 bricks or those 6 cent apiece Bosnian primers. Don't let me down now.
Bro, I’m not the sales man, just the messenger. Have “FATE” primers will be $25 a brick again!!!

Yep, hard to believe 30% are bad from the factory if they are new. Even if they are made in country Y, one could assume the plant in country Y might make ammo for their military,
which would not accept 30% failure. (assuming they did not make and decide to sell a/the bad lots)
Now if they are made by hand in a hut that's a different story.

Hopefully we will see primer supply get back to normal soon.
