What is this tool?

Appears to be a blackpowder 44 cal pistol maintenance tool of some sort. Has a spanner wrench, what appears to be a flat-head screwdriver, possibly a chamber cleaner, etc.

Am I correct in this assumption, is the tool for a specific model, and what in the world is the half-ring on the back of the tool for? Any info will be appreciated.

After greater research - maybe a machine gun maintenance tool? The half moon on the back fits the rim of a 30-06/8mm mauser. My buddy's thinkin possibly an mg42 tool

Yeah, it came in a lot of black powder tools, dies, round balls, and casting kits so I made the assumption that it was for a 44 pistol. The chamber cleaner is almost a perfect fit for the cylinder of a 44 caliber. It certainly is an interesting little tool! I guess now that I've got the tool I'm going to have to get an M1 Garand
