after a lot of sanding wood, rubbing oil into wood, and knocking rust off the barrel with a touch of cold blue I got this.

Nice job on the refinish. You ended up with a decent blueing on the barrel. What did you use to blue it with? I know you said H&R but that receiver looks just like the Savage/Stevens 20ga I own. I couldn't read the writing on the left side in the photos. But we'll go with what you called it.

No. Its a reason to not bid if you really don't want it. The OP even made a low counter offer and won the gun. It wasn't an accident. He pursued the purchase. Thankfully it looks like the OP ended up with a nice gun out of the deal. If he were to install a new bead on the barrel he could probably double his money on the gun.

I used Birchwood Casey Super Blue and 0000 steel wool.
