The 43 or 43X is a good choice. I went with the G48 and am pleased.

Which and why would you choose one of these for everyday carry. They are single stack 9mm pistols and both are very thin. I dont care about others , I am talking about these two. I have owned both in the past and both served well. I just want to get a feel for what other owners think of them and which is the most reliable for everyday carry , pocket lint and dust , ability to digest all kinds of ammo , and so on . Holsters are not a concern since I have some for both. Thanks for any input . It is very much appreciated.

Your preference, man.

I have an XDS. If I wasn't mostly carrying a snub .38 these days I'd be carrying it. Never a problem with it. It's heavier and larger than some are going to want to pocket, and carries 1 more round than the Glock.

Springfield has factory magazines up to 9 rounds, while Glock OEM is just 6.

No question for me. Glocks don't work for me, the grip angle and trigger guard puts my trigger finger in an awkward bind so it drags the bottom of the trigger guard. It sucks I really want a 29.

I have never fired the XDS but really like the feel of the Glock 43. But now I have a Shield which is fine for me and can hold a couple more rounds at 8+1.

I vote neither one!

I rented both of these guns and shot them and they were both too small for me to shoot comfortably. I do not have large hands, but the narrow and short grip transmitted the recoil over too small an area. When shooting the similar sized GLOCK 26, I found it much more comfortable, but not nearly as good as shooting a SPRINGFIELD ARMORY XD9 Sub-Compact. That was was quite comfortable and completely controllable.

Good snag on the XDS. I’m leaning toward the XDS as well. I’m a self admitted Glocktard, but I have the G42 and G26 already and do not see the need for the G43 and yet more magazines to buy. Plus wait her of your choices are too big for pocket carry, outside of huge cargo pockets, so I go with the one I shoot better and that’s the XDS.

Awaiting range report!

Have you considered the XDe? It gives up the grip safety but gives you DA/SA, and the ability to carry cocked and locked.

Yes and I wanted it but I am not sure that the Croations have mastered a polymer hammer fired gun. I know that the XDS is a proven gun so I went with it.
