What is the most recent knife you bought?

people paying $700 for a piece of steel seems more like theft to me. By that logic I can assume you will only drive a Ford. Do you only take Uber because lift stole their idea? Also you can't go to burger king or Wendy's. They stole McDonald's idea. It's a free market. If microtech can't stay competitive they don't deserve the money.
Absolute hog wash. There is a difference between choosing a lesser priced competitor’s product, for a product that isn’t patented and buying a forgery.

Forgeries are constantly being offered on the market as the real thing, and buyers get swindled. Forgeries do not equate to competition, they equate to intellectual theft that hurts everyone.

A licensed and authorized copy is fine. This ain’t that according to you.

If you don’t care, fine, but don’t expect everyone to be happy that you are helping proliferate a problem in the knife industry.

That's the most BS I've ever heard. If I'm a knife maker I don't deserve the money from my own designs? So Chinese rip-offs are A-OK? I was a knifemaker for 10 years and you have no idea what you are talking about. We design, and make that design into steel and you call it theft because someone wants to buy it? You have no clue.

exactly

Didn't buy, but was given two of these from my oldest brother. One for me, one for my son.

Nothing special about them, just a really good basic utilitarian pocketknife for everyday use.

The blade is 440 stainless, not what I'd call the best (in general, I'm not a fan of stainless blades). But the blade shape, and one handed operation, makes it really handy.

Blackjack Model 155 Neck Knife

6.375" overall. 3" 154CM Stainless blade. Handle has finger ring and machined hole cutouts. Brown leather neck sheath with magnetic retention.

Whoever makes the very nice sheath should be contracting to a bunch of companies.

Spyderco Paramilitary 3 lightweight. I like this knife more than I thought I would. The spring pocket clip is very easy to use and keeps the knife in place as it should. Steel is superb so far and it really is lightweight which is a big deal for me in the summertime. It's pointy as all get out too. Was dicing some watermelon with it over 4th of July on a paper plate. Poked through paper plate twice and got two teensy little bloody spots on my leg that seemingly just happened like magic. I've used it enough that a little touch up with the strop was in order. It's like new again and it arrived extremely sharp.

I was interested in the locking system and it works just fine.

Made in USA which is also a nice plus for me. Recommended without any reservations whatsoever. Para 2.jpg

I stopped by my lgs to look in his Benchmade case. Long story short, I came home with a Boker AK47 automatic. 20210711_155433.jpg
I know its no Benchmade, but I like the size and weight. It has a deep pocket clip like I wanted. AUS8 steel. I like the drop point blade and finger groove scales. The wavy shape of the pocket clip helps with the smooth draw of the knife from the pocket.

I carried the Boker all weekend long. I like the way it carries. The only thing I used it for was to cut a weed for #3 son's college weed collection, lol. It sliced right through the thumb sized woody stem. (Common Teasel).
20210711_215854.jpg I think its a keeper.

Edit to add....
Lgs had a Buck 110 auto. Very tempting!

Met the maker at the local Farmer's market and ordered this. Blackbird Blades in Ozark MO. I think it's a cool little knife. He calls this design "Sparrow". Steel is 80CRV2. Black and white ebony scales like this is a new one on me. He's making the sheath tomorrow. Horizontal carry.
