What is your favorite centerfire caliber to shoot at paper or varmints or whatever else that is throwing a 125 grain or less sized pill down range? And why?

Could be something that is factory loaded or reloaded by you for a certain application.

6mm/.243. Lots of great choices; I’ve got 243 WSSM, 6mm AR 40 Turbo, 6mm Creedmoor & 6x45. I can shoot 55 grain all the up to 107 grain with a wide variety of quality bullets. I can hunt most anything I want in the east, and shoot steel out to 1200+ yards. All are accurate with little recoil. What’s not to like?

I use Hornady 223 75 grain BTHP match for deer and hogs. Never lost an animal, extremely accurate. For a more "traditional" caliber, my wally world 700 in 243 does well with Winchester 100 grain power points.

7.92x33 AR pistol throwing the .323 diameter 125 HP, made exclusively for Grafs by Hornady. Very accurate and terminal performance on deer is unreal.

Next is my AR-15 Wildcat called the 25 GPC. 90gr Sierra BTHP. It really is unreal accurate and lung shot or neck shot deer don't stand a chance.

6.5 Grendel

.264

I like a 120 grain/100 grain 107grain 95 grain to name a few
Lol

First place goes to 257 Roberts - 75gr to 120gr, efficient and powerful enough for its class.

Second place goes to 22-250 with a 1:8-1:6.5 twist barrel - perfect for 55gr and up. I'm partial to the 75gr range. If folk started making 85gr+ hunting-class .224 bullets, this might just dethrone 257 Roberts as my favorite.

7.62x39 either handloaded with 125 gr nosler ballistic tips, or factory wolf 124gr hp. If the range is over 250 ish yards or its windy then a 223 loaded with 75 gr hornady bthp's

I am really excited to try these Weatherby Select 115 Gr. Ballistic tips in my Weathermark 257 Wby Mag.
I also have a real tempting box of 120gr. Sierra Pro Hunters in 264 Cal. and if I could find a 260 Rem I would like to try it, or I may build one.
