A Remington front loader (replaced it with the Savage 10ML - it uses the original blackpowder substitute - smokeless…), and two break open 223’s…never could get them to group….

An Erma 22 cal luger clone. Slam fired when you released the bolt. Took it back same day.

I had a S&W SD9VE that I couldn't hit the side of a barn with, while standing inside the barn.

A range buddy could shoot a ragged hole in a target at 15 yards. It now resides in his safe.

Had a Taurus TCP that would fail to go completely into battery....sometimes.
At first I thought maybe flat nosed rounds were the problem but round nose would do it too. Sold it with complete disclosure and got an LCP. It was actually a nicer shooting gun than the LCP, when it worked

HK P2000SK V3, how did I hate thee? Overly bulky for the number of rounds it holds, ergonomics of a box of cereal, trigger that a Mosin Nagant 91/30 would be ashamed of, more plasticky feeling than a Nerf gun. No redeeming qualities that I could discover, so away it went.

I never took to the LCP. It was amazingly small, but I shoot the G42 better in every way that matters. And the Glock isn’t thaaat much bigger…

I’ve sold a hundred or better.

No real regrets as they were all a means to an end at the time.

I judge all of my actions according to the standards and circumstances and context of the time and not by present times as so many like to do these days.

Either way, one I miss a little was a Kentucky State Patrol marked S&W 15. I bought it while living in KY and sold it a short time later. I really didn’t start missing it until years later when agency marked guns became much more of a thing.

Cant remember the model, but I also had a gorgeous stainless .44SPL Taurus 5-shooter. Fixed sights and it shot about 12" right at 8 yds......dont miss that one at all, lol.

Well, like I said in the other thread, I don’t have any regrets. Done plenty of stupid stuff- some of it more than once unfortunately - but still don’t regret it. Learning experience is hard earned and too valuable to wish away. But, since you asked, gotta say I was mighty pleased to trade a Sterling.22 semiauto for an H&R top break .32. If I never have to fiddle with one of those little pieces of crap again, I will be even happier.

I have owned 25-30 Ruger 10/22s over the years , never kept one for long . Not sure why , they just don't have soul for me I guess . Have not had one for a couple years so I am due for another . Slow learner I guess.

Cobra 9mm derringer, I fired 6 shots through it and I wouldn't have fired a 7th for $100. Sold it to some kid for $30 more than I paid for it.

I had a Taurus Tracker 7-shot .357. It was a good looking 4" ported revolver. I bought it as a defensive gun. It began to develop timing issues. I traded it.

Another Taurus. 357 model 669 was as fine a revolver as any. Excellent trigger right out of the box. I traded it because I have several. 357s, and wasn't shooting it.

I dont miss either.

Since this is a handgun forum. I won't mention the sks's.

Springfield P9C Compact in 40 S&W. It would beat itself to death requiring the slide catch to be replaced periodically. Springfield orphaned the gun when they discontinued it. Fortunately, Tangfoglio, who made the pistol for Springfield, had a similar model in their line up so parts were available.

Sold the gun to buy a Colt 38 Super Government Model.

For me it was a shorter-barrel Smith 500 mag. One brief trip to the range taught me it was not a gun I cared to own. Traded it and the vast majority of that first box of ammo back to my buds at the LCS without regret.

You're not alone as I've seen many Smith 500 mags for sale with a half a box of ammo for sale.

One that I don't regret getting rid of was an Astra Model 600, chambered for the 9mm. Parabellum. While it was well made and decently finished it was a straight blow-back design (something I learned about very quickly). It's fine for a .22 and a .32 caliber gun but can become a little noticeable in a .380 and downright painful in a 9mm.! I was usually good for about 50 rounds and after that my hand and I were done for the day!

I have had a couple that I don't miss in the least.

Henry Big boy steel 357 rifle. looked good, sights had to be drifted all the way to the side and so inconsistent i outshot it with ny revolver and pistols at 25 to 50 yrds.

Taurus Millennium 9mm- piece of crap that would only feed crap ammo and hit the side of a van if you were close enough.

M&P 9mm- shot fine, accurate, and reliable- but I hate shells hitting my hat brim.

High Point .380- only bought it cause a co-worker needed $. Actually shot decent, but looked like it should have been mounted on a tank turret.

Axis II 6.5cm - accurate enough , but cycling the bolt felt like sliding on gravel.

Kel Tec .380 - not a bad gun for what it was meant. But outclassed by LCP and others.

Taurus PT-111 Millenium G2. It worked & was decently accurate but I didn't like the trigger.

Kel-Tec P-11 Bought it because it was the first double stack micro 9. It worked & was decently accurate. I did tweak it a bit. Decided I wanted something nicer & bought the Taurus. I wound up gifting the Kel-Tec to a friend.

American Derringer 44 Mag

Glad I found out about the recoil before I almost bought an American Derringer 45-70!

Taurus Slim PT709 9mm. That pistol swore me off of Taurus FOREVER.
