A — ‘ sort of’ — buddy has a Select-Fire MP-5 and s.f. Chinese AKM , plus a tricked-out HK-91, SBR AR etc. If those aren’t pricey…..

The really stark irony is :scrutiny: “how he votes”. Read the “vote” part again…..Paradoxes can’t be explained. And he grew up near London, UK.

Probably a Marlin 62 in 30 carbine. They have been selling higher than they ever should. A code second would be my nickeled contender and right behind it the blued contender. None of them would cross the bridge into 4 digit land but those three would be close. The contenders especially would be pushing 4 digits with the extra barrels.

Nothing extremely rare or high end expensive, but they are getting up there. Smith and Wesson Model 1917 revolver in .45 ACP made for Uncle Sam in 1918 and still in original finish. Smith and Wesson Model 547 9mm revolver, one of ten thousand made between 1980 and 1985,

Most valuable new was my Kimber CDP II Custom Compact. Most invested are my two conversions, one 3" GP100 that became my 41 Special, followed closely by the 41 Magnum Flat Top large frame that got a Bisley grip. $1000 always seemed like a barrier to me, but I have exceeded it a couple times.

I don’t have anything crazy expensive. I’ve got quite a few in the $1k to $3k range, but that’s as far as I’ve ever been able to stretch my money. Sentimental value, probably my High Standard Sentinel 22 and my Remington 550-I. Both of them belonged to my Grandfather who passed away before I was born.
