Random Gun Pics...let’s see how random we can make it

Boxhead

Very nicely done! That's some of the most beautifully figured wood I have ever seen on a Marlin! Thanks for sharing it with us!

So Gunny you finally got around to taking a photo of your remodeled rec room!

I really like what you've done with the place but I still think you could use a few more ARs.

Probably as Random as you can get...I got this from a Dealer who acquired it out of Alaska. The previous owner shortened the barrel, removed the front sight and drastically cut back the front of the stock. The muzzle was expertly re-crowned thankfully. Why all this? To have this last ditch 22LR stuck muzzle down inside a backpack within easy access by reaching back behind ones neck to bring it into play while on the trail. Alaska, remember, 15 rounds of 22LR will get anyone or any things attention. (14 + 1 in the chamber, loads from the butt). This rifle started life as a Remington Nylon 66. Not being a backpacker I added the front sight and was delighted to find this to be a very good shooter. Gets lots of comments at the range. We've all seen long bayonets or machetes stuck down into combat packs in this fashion. Never thought I'd see it in a 22 Rifle!

Years ago, Battle of the Bulge reenactment, Fort Indiantown Gap PA. The unit's armory.

My first guess was going to be one of the Property Rooms for when they use to film the TV series "Combat" back in the '60s!

Very nice weapon line-up for the German side; plenty of Mauser K98s, MP40s, and Lugers to go around!
