Do you carry All the time.

All day, everyday unless I am at work.
Retirement has made it possible for me to carry a lot more of the time than I used to. But like I said in my earlier post, there's still the occasional trip to the courthouse, the post office, the social security office, and the doctor's office.
Heck, for that matter, I left my gun home when my wife drove me to the hospital one morning last month. I'd spent all day the day before working out in the hot sun and not acting my age - or so the doctor said.;)

Just wondering how many actually carry a gun on them at all times. Or just some times. Or just in the car. I've tried but it's just to aggravating. IWB, OWB or just in my pocket. My 642-1 is only like 14oz or so and is about as small carry as I can find. Except some derringers which I don't care for. But that's my question. Do you carry full time? Or just?

Anywhere that isn't an Nonpermissive Environment.

As far as "comfort," suck it up & get used to it.

Well, “it depends.” Sometimes, my daily movements take me into places that I cannot legally carry a handgun. So, my best and wisest response is to reply that I do not always carry a handgun.

“Just in the car” carry is how so many stolen handguns end up among the street thugs. If it was normal for me to carry “just in the car,” I would have already donated more than one handgun to the cause of thuggery.

Carrying a firearm is a normal thing, for me to do. I can assert that. I carry, often enough, for it to be a perilous idea for someone to plan to attack me.

Most of the time I do. There are a few exceptions like where guns are prohibited or going to the gym or taking the dog for a run but for the most part I have at least a .380 on me. If my wife or children are with me I will typically carry a little larger gun and as close to 100% of the time as I can.

Work does not allow it so most weekdays I don't, even when I get home from work. Weekends I carry more often. When I go out to the hunting property, I am always carrying though out there it is almost always open carry and I frequently also have a rifle or pistol AR along too in addition to whatever is on the belt.

Outside the house, I have a firearm. Only times I take it off are in areas that enforce a no gun sign ie metal detector.

My general rule of thumb is if I have pants on, and I'm not enjoying adult beverages, I'm carrying. Where legal.

Lounging around the house in gym shorts usually not, but I've got one close at hand and two dogs to give me some time to get it.

When I leave the house, I carry. Hell, I carry a gun more often then I wear underwear.;)
I am a close second to this. Undies not optional though. At least my P3AT or My S&W 457 along with a Kershaw folder. When in the house I do unless I have something within reach. That Boy Scout motto "Be prepared" applies here.

No.

During the summer maybe 20-25 percent of the time, or less.

Partly because many of my so-called “errands”
consist Only of drives to go jog in a park (3 different park or natural areas), ,

or to Krav Maga class. .

I've tried but it's just to aggravating.
No disrespect intended, but I can't fathom this attitude. Learning to carry a concealed handgun shouldn't be that much different than learning how to wear an uncomfortable jacket and tie to work every day, or hot, sweaty, uncomfortable personal protective equipment on the job. And if you don't carry "all the time" (with exceptions of where proscribed by law or binding regulations, i.e., post offices, federal buildings, military bases, one's place of employment), what's the point of carrying at all? As is commonly said, one can't choose the moment and the place that one might need a handgun for self-defense or defense of another.

Spot on assessment!! There are times I've been in the car to run up to the market or to do errands and realize I left my EDC sitting in the the secure area. I take the time to go get it and put it on.

hahaha... Really enjoyed all the posts in this thread...

The other Waldo leaving everyone guessing...

Gunnyusmc going Captain Commando:rofl:

Bits of wisdom from other posters...

I'll tell you what...
Your guess is as good as mine!
It is better to assume I am carrying as I feel naked if not!

With big brother watching.......
Take that you far-left blankedy blanks!

The only thing I can carry comfortably around the clock is my LCP. I can easily go all day with it. If I am around home in my usual familiar places, I am fine with my LCP.

If I'm in unfamiliar territory on the road, I carry my sr9c.
I find myself reaching for the LCP more lately now that I have it vetted. I love it's concealability. My summer favorite is my Kimber Micro 9 Rapide. It's a little bigger than the LCP but conceals so well in a leather IWB holster that I don't need to untuck my shirt.

Yes, when legal to do so, and for me it's legal almost everywhere. I can't bring it inside the perimeter at work, but if I need one I can check out one for the day.

I carry my Security 9 compact everyday when out of the house. In the house I have my LCP II on me until I go to sleep. Then then security 9 compact is on my nightstand a flashlight next to it. In my house I will never have to run to get my gun. Preparation is Salvation.

I carry a rifle more than a handgun. It rides on the tractor with me. My work is a gun locked in the car zone. I don't like leaving my gun locked in the car. So it stays home.
My rifle rides with us too Church. My pistol goes to the feed store.
I'm more worried about coyotes than people.
